Morganna | 59 comments I'm starting my final year of school so my main one is to watch less youtube during the week and to ctually do my maths homework because both of them should help me get better grades for my ATAR.
Another one i have that is completely unrelated to school is to stop biting my finger nails.

Tanvi (tanvi_ajmera) | 4 comments These are my new year's resolutions-
1) Do smart work AND hard work
2) Study hard to get to high honours
3) Read a lot - my goal is to read 40+ books in 2015 :)
I hope that I achieve my goals, and you guys achieve yours, as well! <3 Good luck!!

Laura (lauralor) | 7 comments I have quite a few... well, not exactly resolutions but definitely things to get on with this year
1 - Get a new job / More effort on youtube channel
2 - Pass driving test
3 - Read more
4 - Take better care of myself, mentally and physically.

message 7: by Ella (new)

Ella | 84 comments Mine are the same every year and I never stick to them. Need some tips for motivation!?
1) Read more
2) Save more money
3) Exercise regularly

message 8: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (simplylldxo) | 80 comments To do better at university :) I've had a shit first semester so I'm hoping the new semester will be better :)

message 9: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (m-r0se-m) | 1 comments My top 3 are:
To get my distinction in music performance at college,
To socialize more,
Finally join Kickboxing competitions :)

message 10: by Ella (new)

Ella | 84 comments If any of you are choosing to read more for your New Years resolution, I have just found the most perfect reading challenge on Pinterest. It gives you things like "read a book your mum loves" "read a book over 500 words" and "read a book published this year"

message 11: by Olivia (new)

Olivia | 1 comments I'm thinking that setting specific goals are probably more realistic and easier to keep to! So far I've come up with the following:

• read 17 books (as I'm turning 17 in 2015)
• write one new song at least every fortnight, as an absolute minimum
• go outside for at least 30 minutes every day
• when it's possible, call a friend or actually see them instead of just texting

message 12: by Ailish (new)

Ailish My goals are sort of similar to everyone else's;

-become less of an introvert/ socially inept person!!
-find some exercise I enjoy (and do it!!)
-get my driving licence
-pass my as levels (preferably get b's)
-keep my room tidier (not sure if this will actually happen or not :P)

I've tried (tried) to make my goals something measureable (if it's vague I'll forget about it)

message 13: by Ailish (new)

Ailish Ohh yeah and help my mum out more!

message 14: by Dani (new)

Dani (pastizzidani) | 16 comments Happy new year!!! Xxx

message 15: by Shona (new)

Shona (shonalee) | 109 comments I've got quite a few things I would like to achieve in 2015. More than I usually like to at a new year although one or two are the same as last year.

1) Lose weight via dieting and exercise (same as last year haha
2) Get a new job
3) Save more money and go on holiday to Cyprus again
4) Read more (I did complete my challenge but I would like to read more)
5) Start college in September (but before that I need to find out about the courses)

I think that is it so far and I hope I stick to them

message 16: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (simplylldxo) | 80 comments Also I'm making another resolution: to set my reading challenge to 10 books (not a lot but I have university and perhaps a summer job to contend with) :)

message 17: by Meg (new)

Meg (megislaughing) I only have a couple of thing I would like to accomplish in 2015. I don't usually stick with the resolutions I make but maybe I will this time!
~get a job
~eat better and be more active, generally be healthier
~learn piano, I have one but I can't really play it very well.
~and maybe work on learning a different language. :D

message 18: by Teresa (new)

Teresa | 8 comments This year I've decided to not make my resolutions so vague and have decided on these three:
1. Finish the books and drawing that I've already started
2. Use the bathroom faster (I take forever!)
3. Focus on getting a good SAT score

message 19: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (lollalong) | 4 comments I'm never good at keep resolutions so I just try and make mine as realistic as possible so this year I want to:
1) Save up more money so I can go travelling
2) Organise my life better
3) Find a job that I can keep permanently
4) Carry on with being healthier

message 20: by Darby (new)

Darby | 217 comments It's a bit of a long list I'm afraid. I just really like making lists and it's hard for me to quit!
1) get my license before my birthday in March (I've had my permit for over a year! In my state we can get it at fifteen and our license at 16 a year later, and I'm nearly 17)
2) take the SAT at least twice before summer
3) acquire a study area
4) organize my cross stitch threads
5) get a paying job
6) buy fewer books (considering I volunteer at a used book store, that will be HARD. Paperbacks are $1.50 each, hardbacks $2.00 you see my problem)
7) do my chores weekly for allowance
8) get through my "owned and unread" pile
9) get a bigger ratty cage (I'm a crazy rat lady. My rat is my child)
10) be more assertive in the drama department
11) appropriately handle the negativity of unbearable classmates
12) have my first ever boyfriend (probably not happening but a girl can dream)
13) re-paint my room

message 21: by Francesca (new)

Francesca | 25 comments 1. Read more (I love watching TV and movies so I tend to get distracted by those but, I used to read a lot as well so I had a good balance but I seem to have lost that balance over the last year or so and I want to get back into it).
2. Take better care of myself (in every aspect).
3. Make more of an effort to socialise (as an introvert I find it very easy to just stay at home and have time to myself but sometimes I need to see people).
4. Go on holiday (last year I went on my first holiday abroad in 9 years, which was only my second holiday abroad in my entire life, and it's made me determined to have another one this year).
5. Get a tattoo (I already know exactly what I want and where I want it, I just need to save up and book it).
6. Learn to bake more cupcakes (I bake chocolate chip cupcakes a lot but want to learn how to make other ones too including wheat and lactose free ones as one of my sisters can't eat the ones I make at the moment and I'd like her to be able to have some).
7. Start a new hobby (possibly dressmaking)
8. Get back into creative writing (I used to write stories all the time or at least start them so I need/want to get back into it, I need creative outlets).
9. Get better at saving money and not spending it (I have become miles better at this over the last few years since I've been working full time for the last 3 years and am more aware of the need to save but I can definitely still improve).
10. Do more exercise and get healthier (part of my second resolution but it is an important one, I need to eat healthier and I want to stay in shape, my tattoo is also a helpful motivator because I want it on my side but I want to make sure I'm in good shape when I have it done).
