Refuge ... Jackie French ... Librarian at work asked me to read it to see if it was worth a class set for a junior class ...
Home sick with the flu at the moment and my latest package from Book Depository just arrived! I order a copy of Boy by Roald Dahl as it was my favourite book when I was a kid. Knocked it over this afternoon and it was just as good as I remember!
Finished Refuge ... I did start this the other day then became quite I'll and ended up sleeping instead ... I got through 50 pages before realising I wouldn't last the day ... Had today off work and in between dozing, I read the other 200 ish pages ... So technically not in one day, but would have finished in one day had circumstances been different ...It's a junior read ... Took a different direction than I had expected that's for sure, but I think my junior English classes could really appreciate this book ...
I'm changing mine to the Yellow Crocus. It flowed well, and it had all the feels! Quite the page turner, so I was able to finish in one day.
