There are several contemporay books. LI has a huge contemporary line and then you have people like Karen Kingsbury, Dee Henderson, Francine Rivers(she has a few set in modern day times), Loree Lough, Melody Carlson, etc...here's a link to Contemporary Christian authors on CBD http://www.christianbook.com/Christia...

Welcome, Jeanie! Great to meet you!

Feel free to share as much as you feel comfortable. No pressure!

I like all genre of Christian fiction plus, some clean secular fiction. I prefer to read a book rather than an e- reader.
I have 3 grandchildren....one of which inherited my love of the printed word! The other 2 are too young to appreciate books as yet.

Hi Jeanie!

I loved loved loved REDEEMING LOVE and MARK OF THE LION trilogy, Voice in The Wind & Echo in Darkness by Francine Rivers. I cried because these books were so emotional and the author did a superb job. Anyone of you recommend a book that comes close to these books??

MY favorite Christian Romance writer is Francine Rivers. She keeps it real, digs uncomfortably into the human nature and always shows the victory of the spirit over the flesh in a hard-to-put down inspiring story.
Personally, I have five children and soon to be seven grandchildren. I recently decided to become a "goat herder" in my free time and have a small group of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats.

My name is P. Eliana Williams. I am writing a new book, titled A Tryst of Faith.
I've been a part of Goodreads for a while but still trying to figure how it works.
Look forward to a good experience here.
Welcome to the group - So nice to have you here!!!

I'm new here, but I'm so happy to have found you. My name is Carla Capshaw. I'm a writer for Steeple Hill's Love Inspired Historical line. I love Christian romances and I'm happy to meet others who enjoy them too.
Happy reading!
