Wyatt | 90 comments I loved the Dark Tower series. The characters, the plot, the tension, the ending. It’s one of my favourite series of all time. Yet I can’t ignore the fact that there are some often overlooked flaws with the series. I’ll start.

For one, the entire series had some incredible villains, my fav being Blaine, who went out spectacularly! But... that cannot be said for pretty much anyone in the seventh book (my second favourite in the series).

Anyone else willing to risk internet disgrace?

Kandice | 4387 comments I have to disagree with you a bit. I admit there are flaws. Many, But I don't think the way certain villains went out was one of them. I think we usually build up our enemies so much in our minds that when we finally overcome we wonder why we did. I think that's the case with The Crimson King. Everyone was afraid of his reputation, and yes, he was bad, but certainly not as bad as everyone believed. had they simply stood up to him sooner, he would have been defeated.

Whimper instead of a bang.

Charles | 96 comments Somewhere SK himself brought up the point that the heads of the most evil organizations are always inherently weak, which is why they surround themselves with so many "bad" people. He said that is why his "baddies" go down so easily.

Wyatt | 90 comments I wasn’t really thinking about The Crimson King. More about Mordred and Flagg. I do understand what you’re saying, but I feel like they should’ve gotten better than: eaten by a baby, and dying easy because of your sickness.
