I usually read YA but anything works!

Six of Crows?

Tbh hard to know what it would mean for you to 'take your breath away'. But I liked Six of Crows and i think it fits the type of books you're enjoying.

The last thing that took my breath away was The Three Body Problem [series in it's entirety, not just that first book].

That might be a recommendation too far though.

I agree with T, Six of Crows is an incredible series.

I also recommend Caraval and The Knife of Never Letting Go. Both of those took my breath away.

well then, I always recommend The Quincunx then. it's my favorite book that no one I know has read.

It's a popular opinion but I'll give you the sun by Jandy Nelson was just absolutely LIFE CHANGING!!!

I'd suggest Six of Crows duology and An Ember in the Ashes series. Both of them are mind blowing!

Ghosts and Shadows duology by Darcy Coates... That is, if you like gothic romance!

There is a fantasy trilogy that blew me away, but it comes with a caveat. The first book is Finnikin of the Rock, by Melina Marchetta, and it's a good, solid, well-done fantasy, but nothing too far out of the ordinary or special. BUT! The two sequels, Froi of the Exiles and Quintana of Charyn are absolutely mesmerizing. They are both about 500 pages and I read each of them in a weekend, because I could NOT put them down. But you have to read the first book to understand what's going on.

Have you tried The Dresden Files? I would actually start with book 4 if you haven't read any of them. The first three were a little rough. I hope I haven't talked you out of this, because it gets very good. Jim Butcher is a great writer, and this series will amaze you, lift you up, make you cry, make you laugh, and hook you.

We hunt the flame! such rich writing. slow paced for the first 100 ish pages but you will love all these characters with your soul!!!
