Christine | 31 comments I usually read YA but anything works!

T Coffee Fiend (aestil) | 6 comments Six of Crows?

Tbh hard to know what it would mean for you to 'take your breath away'. But I liked Six of Crows and i think it fits the type of books you're enjoying.

The last thing that took my breath away was The Three Body Problem [series in it's entirety, not just that first book].

That might be a recommendation too far though.

brutallyhonestbookworm | 3 comments Throne of glass!

Lexi C. (lc0617) | 45 comments I agree with T, Six of Crows is an incredible series.

I also recommend Caraval and The Knife of Never Letting Go. Both of those took my breath away.

Christine | 31 comments The Three Body problema sounds really interesting (I read the description😂) and I’ve been wanting to read The Knife of Never Letting Go! Thanks for the recommendations guys!

message 6: by Christine (new)

Christine | 31 comments Also I probably should have worded the topic better, but I mean give me recommendations that you really enjoyed and thought were really amazing! Thanks again☺️

T Coffee Fiend (aestil) | 6 comments well then, I always recommend The Quincunx then. it's my favorite book that no one I know has read.

Bruno | 80 comments The Last Kingdom series. It's amazing, and I haven't yet finished the fifth book or watched a single episode from a TV series

Rida Quraishi | 28 comments I'd suggest Six of Crows duology and An Ember in the Ashes series. Both of them are mind blowing!

Melliott (goodreadscommelliott) | 510 comments There is a fantasy trilogy that blew me away, but it comes with a caveat. The first book is Finnikin of the Rock, by Melina Marchetta, and it's a good, solid, well-done fantasy, but nothing too far out of the ordinary or special. BUT! The two sequels, Froi of the Exiles and Quintana of Charyn are absolutely mesmerizing. They are both about 500 pages and I read each of them in a weekend, because I could NOT put them down. But you have to read the first book to understand what's going on.

message 18: by Christine (new)

Christine | 31 comments Ooooo, that series sounds really interesting I’m going to have to check it out (Finnikan of the Rock)! Also thank you for the recommendations everyone!! Hope you are all safe and well☺️

brutallyhonestbookworm | 3 comments Oh also the Folk of the Air series. I really like it.

message 24: by snackariyah (new)

snackariyah (brothersnackariyah) | 66 comments oh no, please Shadow and Bone, lord just tell them to read six of Crows no point in wasting time with stereotypical YA, it won't be refreshing lol

message 25: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 44 comments Have you tried The Dresden Files? I would actually start with book 4 if you haven't read any of them. The first three were a little rough. I hope I haven't talked you out of this, because it gets very good. Jim Butcher is a great writer, and this series will amaze you, lift you up, make you cry, make you laugh, and hook you.

nina (gilmorenina) | 14 comments We hunt the flame! such rich writing. slow paced for the first 100 ish pages but you will love all these characters with your soul!!!
