Okay so yeah that was a horrible end. I have so many thoughts. First wow I so wasn't expecting the next thing to be their wedding. I was worried since it went off and all but I was expecting the king to interfere but no dark knights coming to slaughter.... Omg that was a turn I didn't see and so many things make sense now. Poor everyone.

I was all prepared to think the worst of Jameson and really he has been pretty cool about it so wow color me shocked.

So can't wait for the next one. Especially with that ending. Omg when she started to feel the tug.... I was so having a moment thinking he survived but was wounded and only just able to find her since she didn't see his body and I'm holding out hope he survived! Still she chased them down and I loved it. Maybe she can help the queen there too. Who knows her being friends with the queen might help them. Also loved the exchange when Eaton was telling her no and she's just go back to ignoring me lol brief moment of light in the dark ending.

So when is book 2 coming out?

Okay... so I have to admit that there were times I was seriously considering dnfing this book because I felt like none of the characters had any depth. The insta love is a turnoff for me and regardless of how things were with the king I still feel she was cheating so I didn’t like that. There were many red flags with Jameson along the way and I get that she never thought she had a chance, but once she was almost engaged to him she should have broken it off before she and Silas got together.

Silas was a great character and I think he suited her very well and I was sad to see him go. That was definitely unexpected and I feel like that left the door open for the sequel to really pick up and have a great storyline. I actually don’t know if I trust Jameson. I feel like he might have had a hand in the events that took place, maybe not fully orchestrated but somehow involved. I just don’t think he’s really as okay with how things ended between Hollis and him as he wrote. I am going to pick up the sequel. However, Hollis and Etan better not become an item because that is way too on the nose in my opinion.
