Alexandra O'Connor I really wanted to read this book because it tied into the book I shared for my book commercial, "The Lost Girls". This book was written in the eyes of the third victim who was kidnapped by the evil Fidel Castro. Her name is Michelle Knight. She was the first victim Fidel kidnapped. Sadly, she did not have family or loved who's who went looking for her so unfortunately her story was not in the media. Michelle somehow got lost in the shuffle. The two other girls that were kidnapped with her, Gina, and Amanda received a lot of media coverage of their disappearances. Michelle was the oldest victim and had a learning disability. Fidel preyed on her and knew she was different. This memoir was filled with so many horrible things Michelle had do endure, but it was also filled with so much hope. This book story captivated and inspired me in so many ways. Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina Dejesus are the strongest people I have ever heard of. The endured such tragedy, but are choosing to come out of this on top, strong as ever. I really enjoyed this book and hope others read it too!
