Nina | 5 comments I actually read this book a few months ago and absolutely adored it! I would definitely recommend it to pretty much anyone. My favorite character was definitely Clay. I loved being inside his head and seeing how he reacted to everything. I think the overall message was realizing how much of an impact you can have on other people's lives. I can't say much without going into spoilers but basically the entire book is a snowball effect and if one person had been nice enough to be friends with Hannah the whole thing may not have happened.

Stephanie (ramblingfish) | 5 comments Clay was definitely my favorite character. I LOVED how the author wrote the story with the tapes and reading Clay's reactions and thoughts. It gave it a roundness that I really liked. I really didn't like Hannah though. Which maybe we're not supposed to like her. I didn't even really feel that bad for her until the party with Clay. I feel like I have a book hangover from it. I finished it within 24 hours. I already want to read it again. It kind of hit home for me, as someone who has dealt with depression for quite a long time, and it really made me appreciate all the instances that went ok or even good for me, instead of how they went for Hannah.

Vanessa | 22 comments I liked the dual perspectives and Clay's reactions. I think it was kind of suspenseful because the whole time I kept wanting to get to Clay's part to see what he did wrong. I think the book does a good job showing that all of our actions have an impact on people whether we want them to or not.
