Sword & Sorcery: "An earthier sort of fantasy" discussion

For July-Aug I am thinkin by Oron series by David C Smith may be a good topic. He just released Tales if Attluma (same universe-continent as Oron).

or perhaps a theme if any book or magazine starting with "Tales..."

It's funny, I really like Dave's writing, I am excited about the Attluma collection and yet, although I own the entire Oron series, I was never able to get through the first book....

The Oron books are good. I'd be happy with that
