Well you're welcome to join in on the discussion once people get to it a bit!! Or if you wanna hide your comments with spoilers and get it down now, you're more than welcome to!

Katy H (the_other_katy) | 223 comments I can't read this book without bawling! Yet, I love it...I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with me. Y'know, physcologically.

It's a tough read, just with the language, but I don't think it would let it deter me from reading it. If you're sensitive with books it'll get you.. did Les Mis get you? Or things of the like?

It is, if you like that era for writing. If you like Jane Austen then you should be fine with Charles

Katy H (the_other_katy) | 223 comments It's a fantastically phenomenal book, but I don't think it's one I can handle right now, emotionally. (I'm still really, overwhelmingly upset about the death of my dog. It's almost getting downright weird, I'm afraid...) So no, I'm not planning to read it this month. It will always be among my favorites though! Right up there with Shakespeare and the Brontë sisters Jane Eyre especially!)
If it makes you feel any better, everything gets to me too!

If you've already read it hun, you don't have to re-read it. Just feel free to partake in discussions once they start up.

Ellie | 24 comments I read this last year for an English project when I read anything and everything Dickens. I really like his novels, but it was sort of an adjustment at first since I hadn't read very many books written before the 1900's before this. I think A Tale of Two cities is tied with Great Expectations for my favorite of Dickens' novels.

Charity I fell in love with Charles Dickens writting in A Christmas Carol, and Oliver Twist. So I'm looking forward to reading this one. Does he write anything not marvelous?

Angela Personally, I really didn't care for this novel. Over the summer I had to read it and I thought it was a little boring. That's just my personal opinion. It has some high points, but it won't be on my favorite shelf any time soon.

Same, it was an adjustment for me too since I have been reading more current books lately. I have only read a few books that were written before the 1900s, so I had to read a few sentences once or twice. But so far I like the book.

It is an adjustment, but in my personal opinion, it's a good adjustment once it's made! :D Hopefully we will expose you to more books written befor the 1900s with our classics segment! :D

Charity I will be finished tonight. I have loved the humor of the praying wife, blessing away her husbans riches, and of the drinking habits of the time. The disquiet of a man that hates another cause he hates himself, and the excitment of a trial. The over all story of a father and a daughter, of what life has in store for them.
This will end up on my reread pile. Loved it.
