So for those interested, lets all post a summary for 2014?

Sample of how it can look:

Book Goal: Set my goal at 70, but fell short with only 63. However, I read 361 short stories as well. I had hoped to read 365, but I ran out of time and anyway there were some stories I didn't add to my total.

Challenges: Hmm, completed A-Z character and Bookclub Monthlies, but nothing else, I don't think :(

Word of the Month I was finishing them all, but then Lu's wedding totally threw me off! :)

Book of the Month: This was a good year for BoMs! I read quite a few, although not all while they were BoMs:

Book goal: 80 books and ended on 98 - 26,674 pages

I set myself the objective to read a book published in each decade since 1900 and achieved it. In fact I went back to 1880. The list is here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

For some obscure reason I wanted to read 5 Newbery winner or honour books which I did.

Book of the Month:
I managed to read 24 Books of the Month across 10 groups to which I belong. Three in this group plus one that I finished way after the correct month (The Long Earth was by far my worst book of the year.)

I completed my first audio book and have found a way to make my commute a lot more pleasurable. I'll be listening to many more books this year.

My 2014 New Year's Resolution was to read Long Walk to Freedom which I also achieved by means of a lovely group read (otherwise I doubt if it would have happened).
