Tasha Lists! I love lists and can't resist this thread! ;)

2016:TBR Challenge: Read 'em or Sweep 'em

Iceman: Uncovering the Life and Times of a Prehistoric Man Found in an Alpine Glacier (^^Started & abandoned ~ Jan-Feb)
The Mercy of Thin Air
The Lies of Locke Lamora
The Child Thief
A Small Furry Prayer: Dog Rescue and the Meaning of Life
The Casual Vacancy (own) currently reading
Painter of Silence
The Archer's Tale
No Graves As Yet
Gothic Tales (own)

**UPDATED 9/1: Most of the above books were culled after I decided I either did not want to finish or didn't even have the desire to get started. I have 2 left that I do want to still read so I'll be getting to them before the end of the year. I'm still looking forward to the 2 left on my list though!

Janice (jamasc) | 59924 comments I see a couple books crossed off in January. How is February going?

message 3: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 1255 comments I loved The History of Love! Still makes me sigh.

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments You didn't like it, Tasha? I loved it. It was sad but I liked the language. I agree with Suzanne. It still makes me sigh when I think about it.

Suzanne | 1255 comments Everybody has different tastes, which is good because it makes a variety of different kinds of books. Gilead was one I couldn't stomache. In fact, I don't think I even bothered to finish it!

Janice (jamasc) | 59924 comments I didn't like either History of Love or Gilead. I think they're both books you either really like them or don't.

Tasha I'm reading my last challenge book for the year. Once I finish, I'll have completed my Read or Sweep 'Em TBR challenge!

Tasha Thanks, Peggy. I love moving those older books off my shelves!

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments It does feel good! I was just thinking today that it is actually quite insane that I have books on my shelves that I bought years ago and never read. Or that I buy new books, but instead of reading them, put them on a real or digital shelf for months or years. First world problems...

Tasha Very true. I have the same problem which is why I started this personal challenge. I like to declutter things and this is a way to do it with those long-standing books!

Good luck with your tbr challenge, Tasha! I saw you decided not to finish the Iceman book. Novels dealing with the Prehistoric time period are also tough ones for me. I have problems getting into the story.

Tasha it wasn't written in an engaging way. a bit disappointing.

I have Gilead on my Geo challenge list. I'll let you know. LOL...

Tasha I wasn't a fan of that one. I'll be curious to see what you think of it, Cherie.
