Buddy Read Invite Thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
That first link will lead you to some others, but basically, what you posted here should be in the Buddy Read Invite thread. That's where you mention books you're interested in reading, and then the next step is requesting a thread when you find interest and an agreed upon start date...
The Book Club folder is more for off-topic genre reads and some series long discussions that have cropped up over the years... as well as some of my longer-form BRs, where we've read a book over several months on a schedule...
95% of BR threads are made by the mods, so they can accurately track them on the Master List, for others to peruse and possibly join: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
To streamline this process for them, requests are made using a Google Form, these days: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA...
1) Buddy Read Invite
2) Find buddies & pick a start date
3) Make request
4) Wait for thread & start date
5) Buddy Read
Hope that helps :D
There's some more details about making a request in another thread we started when the Form was implemented: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
