Abi Hi!

I'm joining the group to try and revive my love of reading (and my long-neglected Goodreads account!). Looking for some new book recommendations and enablers to encourage my book-buying addiction.

I'll pretty much read anything that isn't post-apocolyptic or dystopian, but I'm looking to read more classics and fantasy in particular.

Pamela Mclaren | 293 comments Hi, Abi!

I think you have a good start with "The Magicians," a book I'm looking forward to reading soon. I see that you also want to read "The Edible Woman" by Margaret Atwood -- I haven't read that one but several others by her and find her a very thought provoking author.

Thanks Pamela, I've never read any Margaret Atwood before but I've heard good things.

Joshua Steelman (js_novels) | 7 comments Hi, Abi! Welcome! May I make a book suggestion? The Name of the Wind. This is a fantasy novel that gave me the impression I was reading a Charles Dickens novel, or something similar. It was just that good. I love it. This alone should help you revive your love of reading. :)

Hi Josh :). Thanks for the suggestion, I've read the synopsis and it looks like something I'll love. Anything with wizards is pretty much a given with me!
