Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments I read the first book, it was ok for me, but ended up dnf'ing the second one.

message 3: by Katharine (new)

Katharine Sadler | 47 comments I found these books to be slower than her Otherworld series, but I really liked both of the first two of this series. I love the characters and the ongoing mystery about the town.

message 4: by Christina (new)

Christina | 35 comments I am into this series - I am loving the mystery, characters, and town as well. I've found it to be imaginative and unique and look forward to the next one. It's an auto buy for me.

I agree this series moves far slower!

That sucks...I liked Omens but it took some effort to get into it. I am looking forward to Visions so I am sad to hear it was a DNF for you.

Hopefully it will go better for you!

message 8: by Sara (new)

Sara | 860 comments I loved the first one. I liked the understated supernatural elements and I spent an enjoyable amount of time researching the symbolism of the "omens". I still need to read the second installment.

message 9: by Calm Your Pits (new)

Calm Your Pits I read it and really liked it but am blanking on a name now :( The girl that died was originally thought to be Ciara Conway but was actually . . . _________? What is that girls name? I think it started with a M but I already sent the book back to the library!

Karena (karenafagan) I can't say that it's one of my favorite series, but it's interesting and I will continue reading to see where she takes it.

I think a lot of people had problems because they expected it to be similar to the Otherworld books. It's not really an urban fantasy. Or at least not strictly. It's kind of a mystery mixed with something else. I like the cross genre feel to it.
