Happy June! This year is moving right along, isn't it? What books are you all starting the month with?

May was an unusually slow reading month for me which is funny considering April has been my best month for reading so far. I'm hoping to recapture April's magic, though! I have The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires (30 pages in and I have not laughed so hard in a while) and volume 1 of Sherlock Holmes to start. Plus my usual pile of graphic novels and manga.

Here's to another great month of reading!

The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix The Complete Sherlock Holmes, Volume I (Book #1) by Arthur Conan Doyle

Ingrid Hurst (bookrdr) | 285 comments I will have to put the vampire book on my reading list. I could use a good laugh.
On audio I am still listening to Game of Thrones. When that is finished I am alternating with Stephen King’a Gunslinger series. I have read the first few books, but never got to the end so I started again.
I am reading Crescent City which is very good.
Certainly enjoying the library pick up services! I got so excited about it that I put a lot of books on hold and didn’t pay attention. I was thinking other people probably had holds on them, but nope 11 books came in in one day! Not sure how I’m going to get through them all. Especially since Crescent City is 799 pages!
Enjoy reading this week everyone! Either out in the warm sun or in the cool air conditioning.

Ann (ann-fracturedfiction) | 516 comments April was my slow month, and May is the month I read a lot. I finished Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert, I read the biography of Rachel Maddow, reread The Last Herald-Mage by Mercedes Lackey, and read The Runaways series Graphic Novels by Brian K. Vaughan.
I'm still reading Pride and Prejudice, and then I have the stack of library books as well as the stack of books recently purchased at the reopened Barnes & Noble. I can't wait. :)

Rene | 7 comments I am currently reading My Dear Hamilton and Evvie Drake Starts Over. I am finding it harder to get reading time in with doing some other activities such as sewing.

I'm currently reading "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. I also have read "A Tidewater Morning" by William Styron.

I think I'd like to finish reading the Ken Follett trilogy which I started earlier in April. The books are so long, however, its hard to make time with so many good books to read. I am most certainly going for finishing by the end of the year.

Zachary | 47 comments This week is my "get ahead in book clubs" week. I finished Dennis Lehane's Shutter Island, and I started Fever by Mary Beth Keane.

Ingrid Hurst (bookrdr) | 285 comments I loved Shutter Island. I didn’t see that twist coming at all.

Arlice M | 113 comments I am currently reading Revenge by James Patterson and The City We Became by N K Jemisin. I have been on a role with reading, thanks to Hoopla and Overdrive. So glad the library is back in business so I can put my hands on a real book again.
