Alesha (musicgal17) | 46 comments Planned on reading this the last week of June but fell into a bit of a reading slump so here we are.

Really liking this so far! It is a bit slow, but it still feels very mysterious and I like the multiple perspectives. Also, I feel like it's hinting at all of the characters having a dark and twisty secret past, so it's keeping my interest. Wondering who will end up killed? Right now, my best guess is Olivia, but not too confident in that.

Parker2050 | 4 comments Finally, I got started on this and read to page 114. I would agree with a lot of the comments above. However, I am liking the slow build, short chapters and jumps from character to character. Into The Water by Paula Hawkins was set up this way and it was really hard to follow, but Foley is proving to be better at it. Olivia is unstable and probably did something to Steven. Johnno seems suspect and sketchy, but also Charlie did something at the bachelor party. The ushers are out of hand, so I was surprised Jules didn't have a fit about it. I was also suprised that 4 ushers remain at this point. Super excited to keep reading and hoping to read Foley's The Hunting Party in the future. Also, I think I am missing something about Julie's sister, Alice.

I did! Finished up the last section two days ago and gave it 4 stars.

Anika | 13 comments Ummm....not liking the "slow burn" and sometimes I feel like that term really is a euphemism for "boring".

Have not enjoyed the book thus far. I fully understand that authors sometimes "set the stage" with the history that happened before the actually mystery. However, I don't feel this is an excuse for the reader to be bored, and especially not bored for over 100 pages. I've read so many other books that "set the stage" while doing a better job at incorporating the actual mystery, thus creating better suspense and intrigue.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I just started this yesterday,. Only in about 50 pages, I am liking the setup but am reserving my opinion so far.
