The Next Best Book Club discussion

I heard through Audrey's agent that she will be in NYC on Oct 5th doing a reading at Barnes and Nobles. so I went online to check it out.

I'm trying to talk my hubby into taking me! I would have to take half a day from work to get there on time, but I am willing :)

Check out the site and see if anyone is hitting near you...!! They are all out stomping their new novels so I would think if you are near a big city, they will be on thier way to you too!

OH...MY...GOD..I wish I lived on the east coast. I can't believe how many fantastic authors are going to be at that B&N. JOHN IRVING????!!! I can't even imagine being able to meet him.

I would LOVE to see any of those authors. The only events scheduled at any B&N near me until the end of the year are Children's Story Time and monthly book club meetings. *SOB*

What major city are you living near? NYC is about a two hour hike for me, but totally worth it when good authors come to town :)

Ive never read Irving, but I have two of his books here. I have a month to get em read if I want to go see him and not look a fool!

I'm just outside of Phoenix, but in all the stores in the area, there's only one author signing, but it's someone I've never heard of.

My fave Irving book is A Prayer for Owen Meany. I've read a few others which were really good. I still have The World According to Garp sitting on my shelf waiting its turn!

I searched a 100 mile radius and didn't get anyone I've ever heard of. Luckily, our local independent bookstore gets some big names. Unfortunately, most of them are in town on nights that I'm working.

OMG they're literally right around the corner from my job! I may be just taking a VERY long lunch that day!!!

Oooh Donna, is there a chance I might bump into you without knowing it on Oct 5th for Audrey???
