Raves best selling author Katie Jennings: "Cursefell" is one of the most original, unique stories I've ever read. Instead of focusing on the overworked lore of vampires and werewolves, Dreesman takes us inside the legend surrounding gorgons and mermaids. From the start, this book is fast-paced yet lyrical, with poetic descriptions that really draw on the romanticism surrounding the story itself. The main character, Thera, is a teenage girl still grieving the untimely death of her father. An accident at sea where she's viciously attacked by what she can only describe as a sea creature leads her to discover her true identity and the curse that runs through her blood. Toss in a handful of compelling side characters and a lovely dose of romance, and you have a truly wonderful fantasy that anyone who enjoys mythology will love.
