R either of you reading something for the challenge now?

For example: I'm reading Red Mars: It has a color in the title, has more than 500 pages, is set in the future, it has a love triangle, and I've never read its author before.
I have a feeling that squeezing out those last few is where the challenge really comes in.

I know! 52 books?? I set my 2015 Reading Challenge to 30 books and it's going to be a struggle to meet that goal. I think I'll be scrambling for short books by the time October rolls around. I'm always impressed by the readers who set their challenges anywhere above the 75 mark.

I think this is the kind of challenge that I would take on over a couple of years. I usually set myself up to read 50 books a year. This includes books for fun and books I read for research (background for books I am teaching). I'll have to keep a copy of this list handy and check some off as I go along...

Carina and Lisa, I am aming for a year but we will see, since i am hoping to start my student teaching in Sept. it might get harder to find free time to read, but i will take advantage of the time I have now.
One down 49 or i guess 51 to go(bc of the trilogy) :D
I am now starting

Enjoy the reading time while it lasts! Student teaching will take up a lot of your time... probably more than you expect. Good luck! :)

Hemokuru, a young Warrior of Liuith, has finally reached the coming of age, to finally be known as a Warrior of Liuith, along with her brother and friends. However, when their world is under a sudden attack by mysterious beasts and creatures, the Warrior within them is each challenged and both Hemokuru and her brother are to save the very people that hate them. Unravelling the truth behind the attack and the ones behind it, leads them on a journey filled with adventure, love, chaos, betrayal and discovering truths they never knew. But just like all knowledge gained and like all great adventures made, much will be lost and sacrificed as the chaos and tragedies continue to grow. Will the four of them be enough to stop further destruction and save everyone they hold dear to them? Or... Will all be lost and themselves to along the way?

I like this idea. I'm going to try this, too.

I feel that this years doesn't feel so widely challenging though? If that makes sense. A lot of the categories could be the same book, the ones such as Written by a celebrity, political memoir, autobiography.
Still looking forward to having a go at it though! I think I have ticked off about ten so far!
Mayra usually does this, but here is the link if anyone is interested.
