Daybert | 6 comments I think it was published by Penguin. Recent book, I would say within the last 6 years.

Book cover is all white with what seems like a blue eye (might be wrong on the eye). There is certainly a circle.

Starts with guy waking up, doesn't know how he got there--I think.

Daybert, I added some details to the topic header, so your book might be recognized from the header alone. Feel free to update it by clicking the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website – not the Mobile website or app.

What do you mean by "words that have power"?

Daybert | 6 comments Thank you for the help. First time doing this.

I should say, "words that are unspeakable" because saying them unleashes evil-- or something categorically bad.

Is it literary fiction that is suspenseful, or is it in the genre of thriller/suspense?

When you say Penguin, what was it that made that memorable? E.g., is the orange Penguin logo on the cover?

I mention it because I didn't expect that kind of book to be published by Penguin, so it stuck with me. Didn't have that much literary merit, though, IMO.

Thanks. Went through the list, but no luck.

The cover does look like Orwell's "1984" (second page of the list).

Daybert | 6 comments I remembered the title!

"Lexicon" by Max Barry.

Thanks everybody who helped.
