Kerr-Ann Dempster (kdempster) I'd like to recommend my novel, Beneath Scarlett Valley. Three of the main characters are PoC. My upcoming novel, The Hunted, will also feature PoC. Check it out if you want a great read that's both unique and diverse.

Happy Reading :)

message 15: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 3 comments I recommend Saga to those who haven't read it. It's a comic series that centers on two star-crossed interracial lovers, Marko and Alana. According to the illustrator, Marko is East Asian and Alana is ambiguously "brown" (perhaps South Asian or Latino).

Oh, and the story and illustration is remarkable! Even if you don't like comics, I think you wouldn't be disappointed with this one.

Saga, Volume 1 by Brian K. Vaughan

Such a fantastic series! I just got into it a few months ago and it's one of the best things I've read.

This is the best dark fantasy illustrated comic I've read so far. Really, the illustrations are amazing and the MC is a disabled "Asian" woman (in quotations bc Asia doesn't exist in this world). The story is really gripping too.

Natomi Karkael | 1 comments Hello Everyone!

My second book A New Life is available on Amazon. The ebook will be free 10/27 and 10/28. Check it out if you like clean romances and/or adventure stories. Thanks.

Curiosity. A Journey. Misfortune.
Anastari had always wondered what lay beyond the borders of Sorsani. She yearned to see the places her new husband Blorzen told her about for herself and wanted to explore the other regions. Blorzen is just as eager to explore Rendal but was unsure about its people. With their prearranged lives as land owners set to start as soon as the celebration was over, they plan their trip and leave the farm.A New Life: The Chronicles of the Reverie, Novella 1A New Life: The Chronicles of the Reverie, Novella 1
As expected they encounter predators and exhaustion along the way, but see amazing landscapes and machines more advanced than anything in Sorsani. Soon frigid temperatures and elusive shelter hinder their journey. They continue north into the next region, headed towards a city that could hold treasures or tragedy. Will they survive and make it back home?
A New Life is the first novella in the Chronicles of the Reverie. If you like discovering new worlds, clean romances and action packed journeys then you'll love this sci-fi adventure by Natomi Karkael.

Start the journey today!

Sharanja (booksbounty28) | 2 comments "Brown Girl in the Ring" - by Nalo Hopkinson. I was originally drawn to the novel because it's set in my hometown of Toronto. It's a really interesting and thrilling dystopia. At the heart of the story, is a young girl of Caribbean descent, who lives with her grandmother and baby son. Brown Girl in the Ring
