Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) I was the same way in school. Always read what I was supposed to so that one will be a difficult one for me to complete.

.•*¨`*•✿ ✿•*¨`*•. Christine .•*¨`*•✿ ✿•*¨`*• I read all the books I was supposed to as well. I looked up required reading for school now and just picked one of those that I hadn't read.

Good luck with your challenge.

Same problem here. I'll do the same as Christine for the school week, so I'll discover a new book ;)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) I just asked my family that is still in high school and got some ideas.

Heather (heather1212) | 12 comments I have the same problem. I like both of your suggested fixes (anything to avoid going back and re-reading Crime and Punishment just because I didn't read it extremely thoroughly).

I really liked Tenth of December, though it's not the quickest read.

It looks like we have a lot of the same choices! I'm waiting for a hold for Child 44 and I'm reading everything I Never Told You for hometown week. Did you like them?

I'm deciding between Black Like Me and The Color Purple for color week. I'm leaning towards Color Purple since it's so talked about. But not sure.

Maybe because you're very interested in the books you chose? I know I put on my list only books I really wanted to read, so it doesn't feel a "work". Several other members seem to choose books because they never read them, but are not very interested in them.

Jenna (jennawatts) Glad April was good to you! :-)

May was a great month too. I still can't shake the feeling I had after reading Johnny Got His Gun. How are you fairing with your challenge reads?"

Pretty well, thanks for asking! I'm kind of excited to have discovered graphic novels - that's been the big "find" for me so far!

I noticed that A Man Called Oveis on your "To Read" list. Sweedish, not Russian, but I love this book! Ove, is one of my all time favorite literary characters.
