Roger Kean | 17278 comments No, no I got muddled, I never was a scout, so that's a truth. The lie is still out there, quite the opposite of the X-Files. It's all to play for.

message 602: by Preston, Moderator (last edited Apr 29, 2015 08:21AM) (new)

Preston | 20148 comments "2) I passed my British driving test first time out" being a lie is very funny when you consider that Roger Kean is author of Theory Test For Car Drivers.

message 603: by Roger (last edited Apr 29, 2015 08:25AM) (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Not to mention Practical Test For Car Drivers (though my name doesn't crop up on this one for some reason.

Still, this time Preston is correct. I failed the first, passed the second, though I disputed the fail. I didn't think it was my fault ignoring the STOP line at the junction when the test inspector said "Go straight across at the crossroads…"

And I'm always deadheading dandelion flowers.

1. I was in the Indian Guides which was a Boy Scout substitute for boys who didn't like the the militaristic uniforms and badges of the Boy Scouts.

2. In my childhood I didn't like playing cowboys and Indians so I stayed home and talked to my hamster.

3. Despite there being complete Dinosaur bones (assembled) into a real prehistoric beast, I was more interest in the rocks as a kid at the museum.

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments 2) feels like the lie to me

message 606: by Roger (last edited Apr 29, 2015 01:21PM) (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I think I agree, Jacob… I just don't see Preston as Super HamsterMan, Robin Redbreast. But since you chose that I'll go with #1. I never heard of the Indian Guides outside of India.

Does Super HamsterMan have his underwear outside his pants?

Preston | 20148 comments Number 2 is the lie Jacob Wins!

message 613: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments 1)I worked at Dollywood for one full month before being kicked out of my apartment because my cousins whom I lived with became jealous over the fact that they worked there a year and I was already given a promotion from cart boy to Head chef in one of the restaurants.

2)My father is an abusive alcoholic. had it not been for my older adopted brother stepping in I would have suffered brain trauma and possibly died from severe burns at the age of 11.

3) I lived in the Uk from 1 year old to 4 years old raised by a family friend who I called my Auntie Mary. My parents left me having no way to support me and my older siblings. Moving to the states where they were from and leaving me with my Auntie granting her with full custody. She told them I was always their son and could have me back at any time they felt they could be parent sto me. I moved from Germany, Romania, France, and Italy having been homeschooled in Iceland, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Romania, and Greece. At the age of eleven nearing my 12th bday I was sent to my parents in the states where I met them for the first time. My Auntie now suffers from breast cancer and has no way of bringing me back home to her.

message 617: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments yep...lol

My father was abusive, but he didn't try burning me alive. He just beat me to a pulp. I was hospitalized four times before my adopted brother stepped in.

message 618: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments @Jacob How is your kid? I have a nephew but he's living too far away now so I don't see him. I used to go to all his soccer games and demonstrations for family + belt ceremonies for Tae Kwon Do.

@Kit I turn over my turn to you. It's Kit's turn!

message 619: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe thanks Preston!

1. I recently changed one of my majors
2. I am going into engineering
3. I love technology

message 620: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments @Preston he is doing well. T-Caps is the state test that he has to do this week. He is in first grade and I don't let him do any sports because everytime he has he can't stay focussed long enough to do so. He has PTSD & ADHD. So standing and waiting for a ball to come to him during baseball is not the best thing ever. He flinches at the sound of a bat hitting a ball and he freaks when people yell at him to get the ball when it finally does come to him. He did good at school today thankfully. We have a system worked out with his teacher so she will call us when he does really good or really bad.

I vote 3 as the lie.

message 621: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 1.

message 622: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments You aren't going into engineering, Kit… no way!

BTW sorry for delays, I got a cold sniffle…

message 623: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe Roger, you're right. I was going into engineering but I just changed my second major to sexuality studies

message 624: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments 1) I almost never get a cold.

2) At the moment I'm writing about gold.

3) I've never traveled on a train.

message 625: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 3.

message 626: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 2

message 627: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Preston is right because I have traveled on a train (actually I was ignoring the London Underground because they're only toy trains), and I will be going to Hereford on May 8 by train.

I'm currently writing a book on the history of UK Computer Games software publisher U.S. Gold and at the moment I am suffering from one of the head colds I almost never suffer from.

message 628: by Preston, Moderator (last edited May 04, 2015 04:45AM) (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 1. I went to summer camp.
2. I never went to summer school.
3. I went on a family summer vacation.

message 629: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Oh… er… #3

message 630: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 1 cuz fuck summer camp

message 631: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 2 is the answer.

I agree with Kit in her message 630, above. Fortunately the summer camp was only for two weeks and I refused to go again.

An all-boys camp with small cabins should have been fun at lights out but I was too young for that. Roger wouldn't have had any problem since he was braver and more aggressive than I was.

Kit would you be so kind as to go next please?

message 632: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments ps: I went to summer school to take Driver's Ed so I could get a driver's license.

message 633: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Preston wrote: "Roger wouldn't have had any problem since he was braver and more aggressive than I was...."

I was a very shy 9–14 year old. I only became "aggressive" after that ;-)

message 634: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments Ok. Other younger, smaller boys were aggressive with Roger's privates accessed through his short pants. Can we agree on that?

message 635: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Yeah…

message 636: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments It's a good thing nobody ever reads this. BTW Silky may be back if she can finish her book. Writing it not reading it.

Kit would you be so kind as to go next please?

message 637: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe Sorry, I just saw this

1. I have two step-brothers
2. I have an ex-step-sister
3. I have an ex step-mother

message 638: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 1. Two Step Brothers
(although it would be convenient for reaching high shelves,
no need for a step ladder.)

message 639: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments #3

message 640: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe yes, I do not have two step brothers anymore. (one of them is now an ex-step brother)

message 641: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 1. I wear my hair long over my ears.
2. I have a big head (I wear the biggest size hat.)
3. I wear tapered jeans.

message 642: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 2

message 643: by Eros (last edited May 05, 2015 05:04PM) (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments agreeing with Absinthe two is the lie

This is the biggest hat size lol

message 644: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Three – definitely (it rhymes…)

Jacob, you're back :-))

message 645: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments No Roger. That's Jacob's front not his back.

#1 is the lie. I just got a haircut Monday.

message 646: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments I turn my turn over to Jacob so it's Jacob's turn.

message 647: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments YAY me!!! Yeah sorry I've been gone had some issues on goodreads and didn't want to bother others with complaints...then I went on vacation to pigeon forge and dollywood to see Dolly Parton.
Thanks Preston!!!!

1) Dolly Parton was my previous employer, before my life went to hell and I got stuck in a place I can't seem to escape.
2) I recently had a new stylist give me a hair cut and she ruined it entirely. She chopped my crown to bits and left my sides and back uneven. I was so pissed I humiliated her in front of all those within the salon.
3) I tend to listen to such a large variety of music no one can truly pinpoint what I like and what I don't. I enjoy listening to: Mungo Jerry; Journey; Beach Boys; Delta Rae; Adele; Nickelback; Bryan Adams; Stevie Nicks; Zedd; 3 Doors Down; The Mamas & The Papas; Aretha Franklin; Mumford & Sons; Hollywood Undead; the list goes on....

message 648: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Hmmmmmm…

#2 (you sound too nice to humiliate people… in real life at least :-)

message 649: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 1 I know you worked at Dollywood so that's TRUE.
2 I agree with Roger this is probably the LIE
3 This must be the true because Brian Wilson is a genuine genius. Good Vibrations is a masterpiece of 20th century music. All the others produced good music so this must be TRUE

So I can't do anything but come in second to Roger (Roger is millions ahead of me in everything but this instance.) I also say #2 is the lie.
