Roger Kean | 17278 comments He was never going to be a planetologist, so you were coirect in spotting the lie but probably for the wrong reason. Clear…? :-))

message 1202: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments Oh I see lol sorry been a long night and now morning. :) Yeah I actually figured no child would plan or desire to become a planetologist...heck I know few children who even know what that is without using google or a phone to look it up first. I presumed if he ever considered such a life for hismelf it would have been much later on.

message 1203: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments But we're forgetting, that Rick has a brain bigger than a planet :D

Rick | 15794 comments Jacob wrote: "Wait I'm confused what correct answer didn't I have?"

Your post #1194 was correct, in that #2 from my post #1193 was the lie. ;-)
I was just joking that you probably didn't have the right reason it was a lie, because you didn't give one. I'm Just being silly. :-)
Trying to cut back on the pain pills so I'm not so loopy. O.o

Rick | 15794 comments Roger wrote: "But we're forgetting, that Rick has a brain bigger than a planet :D"

"It's bigger on the inside."

O.o

But, aren't we all ... Bigger on the inside?

message 1206: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Oh, much much bigger…

message 1207: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments 1) I get paid every thursday and end up broke every sunday.

2) I hope to see my family in the UK next year, but it isn't looking good with the little amount of money I am able to save from each check.

3) I plan to have my first vehicle within the next seven months.

message 1208: by Roger (last edited Sep 09, 2015 12:13AM) (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments 1 is a lie because there's nothing to buy on Sundays…

And I hope the first half of 2) is true, then you might visit us in Ludlow too :)

message 1209: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments I'll go with #2 because I'm thinking your family isn't in the UK (but then what do I know)

message 1210: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 3

message 1211: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments Absinthe wins!!!!

1) Is true, I get paid every Thursday I pay my rent every Thursday and I pay for a carton of cigs every Thursday and finally I grocery shop every other Sunday. This leaves me with no more than ten dollars.

2) My parents don't live in the UK, no, but the family who raised me does. My auntie homeschooled me up until I was eleven when I was forced to the states to live with my American parents. I aving been planning a trip back to see my aunt but it isn't looking good. She has cancer and it is my goal to be there with her at least one last time before she passes as she spent her life savings to give me a happy childhood.

3) Given I need to get my license as I was never allowed my license when in school and I have to pay for the test and I have to pay for the car then insurance for the car I won't be seeing a vehicle anytime soon in my future.

message 1212: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments I've got cash issues of my own Jacob, I sympathize. I hope you can get the funds to go see her.

message 1213: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments Thanks rick, hope your financial issues get better too.

message 1214: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 1. (I think) I need a haircut
2. (I think) I need to color my hair
3. (I think) I need to wax my eyebrows

message 1215: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments 3 is the lie

Marcie | 7096 comments 2

message 1217: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments 1) No you don't…

message 1218: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe my hair definitely needs cut, its getting kind of scraggly.
Rick was right!

message 1219: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments 1) I like Bates Motel better than American Horror Story
2) I like Firefly better than American Horror Story
3) I like American Horror Story better than Space: 1999

message 1220: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments #3 I say…

message 1221: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments 2

message 1222: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 1

message 1223: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments I do not like Bates Motel better than American Horror Story so #1 was the lie. Take it away Absinthe. You've won!

message 1224: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe woop woop! (and good because American Horror Story is definitely better)

1. Today the washer over-flowed
2. Today I visited with my relatives
3. Today I (finally) bought speakers for my computer

message 1225: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments 2) because you were too busy cleaning over-flowed water while fixing the new computer speakers… obviously.

message 1226: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments 1

message 1227: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe Roger you are correct :P but actually the washer over flowed before the relatives arrived, and then I went to buy the speakers in order to avoid said relatives

message 1228: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Hahaha, well I never…

As I write (and don't forget this is Britain…)

1) The sun is shining

2) It's pouring with rain

3) There will be rain later

message 1229: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 1

message 1230: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Well since #1 is taken, I'll pick #2

message 1231: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments 3

message 1232: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Well done, Rick! You are right that 2 was a lie. Astonishing, I know, but it was sunny, so that was true, and it certainly did rain later as forecast.

message 1233: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Wow, I'm beside myself with astonishment. O.o

Well, I just watched Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Illustrated Screenplay this morning. I've lost track of how many times I've seen this film. So let's try this.

I have never met ...
1) Harrison Ford
2) Steven Spielberg
3) Karen Allen

message 1234: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Hmmmmm…

3)

message 1235: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 2

message 1236: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Ok, that was too easy. Roger won. I have met Karen Allen.

message 1237: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Easy!!? I spent half an hour pondering and wondering and worrying…

Sticking with movies then…
I have met …
1) Guy Hamilton (director of James Bond "Diamonds Are Forever"
2) Lindsay Anderson (director of "If", "O Lucky Man" etc)
3) Roman Polanski ("Knife in the Water", "Repulsion", "Dance of the Vampires" etc)

message 1238: by Rick (last edited Sep 16, 2015 08:55AM) (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Roger wrote: "Easy!!? I spent half an hour pondering and wondering and worrying..."

LOL! You posted your response all of 3 minutes after I posted the question. I think we're repeating ourselves.

I'm pretty sure I recall you saying that Anderson lived down the street from you at one point and that Hamilton gave you a bad grade while he was a visiting professor or some such. I'm sure my details are all messed up though. So I'll go with #3, and you've never met Roman Polanski.

message 1239: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 2

message 1240: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments Uno

message 1241: by Roger (last edited Sep 17, 2015 12:47AM) (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Rick, you remember too well! Hamilton was a term tutor at film school (though he thought the commercial Oli and I made for Blue Band™ margarine was a disaster… and not a movie), and I spent a whole morning with Anderson shortly after If was premiered, but I never did meet Roman Polanski though I did visit the apartment he'd used to film Repulsion (though it didn't have any wobbly walls with hands sticking through… sadly).

Yours to go again Rick!

message 1242: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Marcie wrote: "Uno"

I'm gonna pass this one to Marcie, she hasn't had a go in awhile. Take it away Marcie!

message 1243: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Yay, go fer it, Marcie!

message 1244: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments Gracias, Ricardo! Que amable.

1. My daughter punched a boy last week.

2. My daughter made a boy cry last week.

3. My daughter schooled an older boy on the court last week.

message 1245: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 1 (because your daughter is a stand up badass)

message 1246: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments #2 is the lie

message 1247: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments 1. She did punch a boy (for the second time). She was walking infront of the football bleachers when a boy rudely pushed her telling her to get out of the way. Next thing I see (along w/everyone else on the stands) is her pulling her fist back and...WAM! Yeah, we got home and had the you-use-words-unless-you're-on-the-court-then-you-show-them talk...again.

Number 3 is also true. While it was not an actual game, but open gym.

Rick, you're right. Number 2 is the lie.

message 1248: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Really. He didn't cry after he got punched? I always cried when I got punched, and usually led to me getting punched again. Ya gotta love Texas, they really have a good grasp of social interaction skills.

I'm tired and I need to sleep so if Roger, Jacob or Absinthe wants to jump in on this I won't complain. Otherwise I'll post something tomorrow.

message 1249: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments He didn't. Just walked away rubbing his upper arm. Sorry about them Texas punching jerks

message 1250: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I would and will if no one else does by Monday, but this w/e is full of "friends ’n’ family stuff so I'm not going to have the time…

Question: Why isn't Lori playing? :(
