Roger Kean | 17278 comments We will not be having turkey (on Christmas Day, yes), but we will be having goose followed by Limoncello cake, so Monika spotted the lie and wins!

Monika | 3337 comments 1. I'm thinking about making some cupcakes :D
2. I've already made some cranberry vodka cupcakes :3
3. I want to make cupcakes but don't have time for it today :(

You're right, it's a lie. I haven't made cranberry vodka cupcakes yet, but I'm thinking about it hard ;)

Rick | 15794 comments Well send me a dozen or two when you make them. They sound delicious! And I haven't had breakfast yet.

Since Marcie isn't making me pancakes for breakfast. I've decided NOT to have:

1) Eggs with green peppers & smoked sausage
2) Waffles with homemade black raspberry preserves
3) Oatmeal with hazelnut-chocolate stirred in and sliced banana

Monika | 3337 comments Well, it's going to be a bit of an experiment so are you sure you want a dozen or two? ;)

Hellza yeah! ;)
Oh and you won, I lied, I did decide to have oatmeal with hazelnut-chocolate stirred in and sliced banana

message 1513: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments @rick, sorry, bud. Weekday mornings are pretty hard (unless we're on vacay). How about all the pancakes you can eat for the weekend, yeah? Walnut, chocolate chip, banana, Nutella filled... you pick and I'll make :)

Ha, I really wouldn't mind sending you some if it was closer... :)

Ok, so thanks to current GR situation
1. I had to find my glasses to see anything here
2. I didn't have to change contacts to glasses but I did it anyway
3. I didn't have to do anything to see better here

message 1518: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments #2. I don't know what you saw Monika and Rick but it looks normal to me. Was there a problem? I didn't notice anything but I heard Mr. Amazon shouting to Mrs. Amazon (parent company of Goodreads) Honey I Shrunk The Kid!

message 1519: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments #1, cuz Rick hasn't really picked it :-)

message 1520: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments And you're right Roger, #1 is a lie. I didn't have to find my glasses, I changed to them because something was irritating my right eye :/

@Preston, hmmm how to describe how this GR change began... ;)
Well, I personally was most shocked by the color change because I prefer warmer colors, but font was the biggest issue for most people about 12 hours ago. On my 7" tablet's screen and my 15,6" laptop's screen it was like the same tablet-friendly size, was very thin and all was very, VERY pale. Now it's definitely better although I still think the font needs to be bolder. Need to jump to complain thread if I want to continue this rant ;)

So, your turn Roger

message 1521: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Ho hum… Bah! Humbug!

1) I haven't yet put up the Christmas tree

2) I have already put up the Christmas tree

3) I may put up the Christmas tree tomorrow

message 1522: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments Hmmm, #2 ?

message 1523: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments If 1 is a lie, then 2 is true and 3 can't be.
If 3 is a lie, then 2 & 1 are true which is a contradiction.
If 2 is a lie, then 1 & 3 are true and possible. So yeah, #2 must be the lie. I agree.

message 1524: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Egads! Caught in a web of logic! You are right, Rick!

At least, you were correct when I wrote it, but later yesterday I did put up the Christmas tree. But at the point of lie, you were right.

message 1525: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Monika wrote: "Hmmm, #2 ?"

But Monika got it first so, it's technically her win. I defer to her.

message 1526: by Monika (last edited Dec 17, 2015 06:02AM) (new)

Monika | 3337 comments After such meticulous almost mathematical calculations I think you've earned it. Go ahead Rick and lie prettily ;))

message 1527: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Sorry, Monika, I should have seen the truth through the web of logical deceit, but of course you were the first to be right… :-)

message 1528: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments Ah, next to Rick's calculations my not very sure pick looks pale so I'm not surprised you missed it ;)

message 1529: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Lies, Lies, Lies - it's all lies

1) I have been mistaken for Hank Azaria

2) I was the visual inspiration for the title character of The Ballad of Dr. Richardson

3) I have been mistaken for Ringo Starr

message 1530: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments lol, hilarious. I'll go with #3

message 1531: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments I want #3 too but I'll choose 2

message 1532: by Rick (last edited Dec 17, 2015 11:38AM) (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Once while at a Gaming convention I was accused of being Hank Azaria. The guy behind the counter was convinced I was Hank Azaria. There was no way to convince him I wasn't. I was all ready to pull out my photo ID and show him, but I just laughed and walked away. To this day he's probably telling people he met Hank Azaria.

According to author Paul Pope he used my likeness as a rough "look" for the character Doctor Richardson. Personally I don't really see it. But I suppose if I squint.

No, I've never been mistaken for Ringo Starr, but I have been told that I look like him. For awhile there I though maybe I might be his illegitimate kid. But the timing doesn't work. He would have been 12 when I was conceived (well, it's possible). There goes my paternity claim to inherit some of the Beatles millions.

So Monika you got it first. But Preston wants Ringo too, so I suppose you could toss Preston a Ringo... That sounded better in my head.

(Now you know why I don't have a picture of me up there. Who wants to look at a Ringo-Starr/Hank-Azaria like-a-look? Or would that be the love-child of Ringo Starr & Hank Azaria? I shutter at the thought.)

message 1533: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments Damn, I so MUST go and buy some lottery tickets, lol

Oh, and I don't really mind tossing Ringo to Preston. Seriously. Not in a mood for lying today. I prefer guessing.

Preston darling, take Ringo, do what you want with him.
And Rick, you wanted to kill me with this 'love-child of Ringo Starr & Hank Azaria'? Thank God I wasn't drinking anything or I wouldn't be writing this. ROFLMAO

Preston | 20148 comments Hank Azaria and Rick

I wish I really did have a photo of Rick :)

message 1535: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Ok Preston, now I have to delete you. You clearly know too much about my travels through time and space. Now the next question becomes tracking down who leaked that picture. If this keeps up people might think I'm an immortal vampire or something equally silly.

message 1536: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Preston wrote: "I wish I really did have a photo of Rick :)"

Nope. No pictures. But one of my professors posted an interview with me that he had filmed on youtube; I also read a short essay I wrote for the class. The whole thing is in 3 parts and about 30 minutes long (from 2009).

Marcie | 7096 comments Rrrrrrriiiiick! That's you! So lovely to finally 'meet' you.
ps. And you do kinda look like the first guy in the pic pres posted. And yes, I also agree w/him... you should post a pic.

message 1538: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Who's Hank Azaria?

message 1539: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Roger wrote: "Who's Hank Azaria?"

Surely, I haven't a clue. Never met the guy. But I think Monika gave her turn to Preston, if I'm not mistaken, and all he's doing is outing me as either a time traveler, or an immortal vampire, who looks in no way like either Hank Azaria or Ringo Starr or their bastard time traveling love-child. Seriously! Can we get back to the lies (and the truths)?

Well, I do ramble on about Jack Kirby don't I, so who else could it be? ;)
Don't hold you're breath on that picture. I'm just saying...
