Yes, you did. It all your fault.

Do what???

message 1858: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I guess you were right, you got the answer correct, you're the winner…? I suppose you climbed in the TARDIS, traveled forward a few hours, saw who got it right, then came back before anyone had written a reply and typed: #2.

Is it my fault if I can make the page turn?

message 1859: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments Rick wrote: "#2"

you got it right, two is a lie - but it was an accident

Rick, you should definitely try the lottery. Or any other game with money ;) even more so if Roger is right and you have tardis to time travel...

message 1860: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments lol

message 1861: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments If I and access to a TARDIS do you think I'd waste it by something as trivial as this? But then, if I had access to a TARDIS I'd have all the time in the world - time enough to waste, time enough in excess of anything and everything, time enough FOR anything and everything. Hrm, scratch all that.

It was just shy of 60 degrees yesterday. It's February! What's going on here?! Yesterday, I went ...
1) To the comic book store
2) To the grocery store
3) Around the house and opened some windows

Rick | 15794 comments Monika wrote: "#2" And you're correct. I did not go to the grocery store yesterday. But I did go to the comic book store and I did open some windows around the house to let some fresh air in.

message 1866: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments Ha, me neither :))

Because of the very spring-like weather today (over 15C) :
1. I've started spring cleaning
2. my cats sunbathed half of the day
3. I went on a hiking trip

message 1867: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments 3?

message 1868: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments dude, go and finally play the lottery!
yes #3 is a lie

message 1869: by Rick (last edited Feb 22, 2016 03:41PM) (new)

Rick | 15794 comments ;) Hrm. Maybe I do have a TARDIS.

Speaking of which... Not counting audio-dramas, or lost episodes, I have seen all the Doctor Who episodes featuring

1) William Hartnell
2) Patrick Troughton
3) Paul McGann

Rick | 15794 comments Roger wrote: "#1 (i have a feeling they're not all available…?)"

Well, you're right Roger, but I'm not counting the Lost episodes (stupid BBC policy of erasing tapes and destroying priceless art treasures!). But I have seen all of Hartnell's episodes that have survived - EXCEPT the latest episode from from the arc Galaxy 4 which is only available as a bonus feature on The Aztecs - Special Edition release in the US. I'm all caught up on the Troughton's since the rumored Underwater Menace release has been delayed, yet again. As for McGann? Well, the one revival movie and the mini-episode for the 50th anniversary and that's all of his filmed episodes. So currently, Troughton & McGann are complete and Hartnell is not. You got it Roger!

I think they did take a long weekend break, since he's not responding. ;)

Preston | 20148 comments Rick wrote "I think they did take a long weekend break, since he's not respon…"

They are home. Actually due to a strange state of affairs (no not those kind of affairs) two of the above are now lies… well not so much lies as just not true any longer. The moderator should do something about this! Well, Roger will be checking in here Monday so we will wait to see what he says.

message 1890: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Sorry fellow Whingers, Preston is correct. When I wrote #1 was the truth, and then on checking the Jury Service Ansafone after 4pm Friday, I was told not to turn up and check again this afternoon (Monday). So it turned form a truth into a lie, while #3 was the real lie… no long weekend break here.

So that means Kit is the original winner an Rick is a runner-up. Over to MODERATOR!

message 1891: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments KIT YOU WON!

message 1892: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe sweet!

1. I procrastinated a lot over the weekend
2. I plan on reading the Mountain Shadow soon
3. I really enjoyed the captive prince

message 1893: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments #1 I simply can't believe you ever procrastinate, whatever that is :)

message 1895: by Preston, Moderator (last edited Mar 01, 2016 02:27AM) (new)

Preston | 20148 comments 3. According to your review you did not really enjoy the Captive Prince since you wrote, "All-in-all it was a fairly pleasing book, but certainly not a great one." (rated 3 stars) I don't think a rating of "liked it" (three stars) equals "really enjoyed"… so yes I choose 3.

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Oh, sleuthing!

message 1897: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments Haha, soon we will find out he's Holmes' descendant ;))

message 1898: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe yeah you're right Preston...but actually I should probably edit it because I really disliked how the book basically fetishizes slavery and there's a lot lot of rape but yeah

message 1899: by Preston, Moderator (last edited Mar 02, 2016 12:46AM) (new)

Preston | 20148 comments Slavery fetish? Yecch!

1. A close friend of mine in high school lived in a house that was on the Underground Railroad and he showed me the secret hiding places in the basement.

2. To get from Manhattan to the Bronx Zoo I recommend avoiding the subway and taking a LIRR Train to the Bronx Botanical Gardens then walking through the gardens to the Zoo.

3. My great, great grandfather worked for Delaware and Hudson Railroad Company "North America's oldest continually operated transportation company" (until it was bought out in 1991 by the Canadian Pacific.)

message 1900: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I think 1 ought to be a lie, because in all the years I used the Underground, I never came across secret hiding places ;-)

But #2
