Well, Jacob's Ladder is a film. I have no idea the relative closeness to people in your area. For example, in my area, 20 miles away is far away. :) I guess number one because maybe crackers is American English and not British English. .. final answer : 1

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments I have never seen that definition of my name usually it is supplanter, liar, thief, etc...

I actually find your def more accurate, all but the sports bit. I do enjoy lacrosse, soccer, and swimming tho. The rest seems pretty damn close except instead of girls its both girls and guys for me.

1 is the lie?

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Oh sorry for the delay, the weekends plays havoc…

1) I've eaten Jacob's cracker Jacob's biscuits, cakes and cheese crackers are big in England and I have eaten them, so true

2) I've seen Jacob's Ladder, Yes, the film, seen it, so true

3) I have a friend called Jacob who lives near me in England. No, I don't, so that was the lie which means Monika wins!

But thank you, I do have a cyber-friend in Jacob :-)))

message 2055: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 566 comments HAHA Roger, I used to live in England, but probably not near you. I lived in Bristol from birth to the age of 3.

message 2056: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Actually, Bristol isn't so far from Ludlow, just over an hour by car on the M5.

message 2057: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments Surprise, surprise...
I'm stealing the idea ;P

1. During all my school years there was never a guy named Jacob in my class.
2. There are three boys named Jacob in my neighborhood that I know well.
3. I once worked with a guy named Jacob.

message 2062: by Monika (new)

Monika | 3337 comments Preston is right, #3 is a lie. I think the name wasn't very popular when I was in school because I can't remember knowing a guy named Jacob from not only my class but from others too O.o' But now it must be rather popular if three of my neighbors named their sons like that :P

When I lived with my parents:
1. I had to rake leaves
2. I had to mow the lawn
3. I had to shovel snow.

My folks bought a leaf sweeper that crunched the leaves nd put them in a big canvas container for dumping. So I never used a rake.

Absinthe 1. I've already finished all my homework for the rest of the week today
2. I started a second job today
3. I didn't have class today

Number 2 is the lie. I'm going on the reasoning that most jobs won't train someone on a Thursday. Unless this is a private contract sort of job. Housesitting, dogwalking etc. If so, congratulations!!

message 2072: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe @Roger, lol typically that would be the lie, but no yesterday I was actually a productive member of society (very unlike today) so it's a truth. Sonja is right! I was hired on Tuesday, but they haven't even sent me the paperwork yet ._.

message 2073: by [deleted user] (new)

^^ congrats on the new job!

message 2074: by [deleted user] (new)

Find the lie:
1. I have been dumped because I was caught cheating.

2. I have been dumped because I didn't own a car.

3. I have been dumped because I didn't own a cellphone.

message 2078: by [deleted user] (new)

Preston wins. I never been caught cheating. I identify with polyamory. I'm in an open relationship right now. Maybe is the Aquarian streak in me. During my 20s had to deal with a lot of jealousy from both men and women. No matter. Past is past.

And yes, I been dumped b/c of no car.
at least that was the reason given.
Three months into it"I can't date anyone without a car."
As far as cell phones. This was true also.
Albeit the late 90s/early 00s. "I need to know where you are. No cell phone? Undateable."

I like practicing my stand up routine on you all. Thanks!

message 2088: by Marcie (new)

Marcie | 7096 comments :) #3 is true. And we did get to meet an NBA player at my son's basketball game. He's from Preston's neck of the woods- Actually, Robin Lopez is from here, but plays for the NY Knicks. I would of wish #2 was true, but with front court seats selling at about $30 thousand...yeah, we didn't go :*( *sniff*. Go for it, Pres!

message 2098: by Absinthe (new)

Absinthe 2 is indeed the lie Roger! I don't like King much at all and I like his son only marginally more.

Serial killers, on the other hand, are delightful as are vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, centaurs, vodyanoi, etc etc

message 2099: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Whoopee! I won… hating Mr. King though… tsk tsk :-)

Being topical, and with genuine sorrow at the loss…

1) Prince was the soundtrack to my life

2) I may be alone, but Prince a musical icon? I don't think so

3) I never bought a record by Prince.
