Welcome to the group, Breena! Nice to have you here. I like mysteries verging on the supernatural as well.

You struck a chord deep in my memory banks. Years ago, my hubby and I fell in love with the books of Robert Goddard:

This was in the early days of Amazon but way before Kindle, probably late-1990's, and we could not find his books on Amazon.com but could get them from Amazon.co.uk and have them shipped across the pond to us!
Amateur sleuth=check, deep family secrets=check, atmosphere to burn=check! Especially the early ones, the Harry Barnett group of books.
Hmmm, I need to check out what Goddard is writing these days...

Thank you and have a great day!
Scott

And Hello to Everyone! I am Walter Danley, a four-decade veteran of the investment industry, and I now write suspense thriller novels instead of living the experience every day. I live in the Texas Hill Country, where I work on suspense thriller series, A Wainwright Mystery, and other standalone novels. I usually write from my library office overlooking Cibolo Creek.
I enjoy reading novels by Michael Connelly, Sandra Brown, Robert Crais, or Lee Child.
I also wrote Blasted Past (When your THEN becomes NOW, you have a Blasted Past. A time-Traveler's Tale of the Old West) and I hope you can enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
Glad to meet you all virtually! Happy Reading!

I'm glad.. :)

That’s also really low to do on someone else’s introduction.

Where is that, Bruce? I'll check

Hey Scott. We do have separate threads set up to talk about your books. Good luck with them and welcome to the group. But please limit any promotional announcements to those specific threads. Thanks very much.

Welcome to the group, Walter. For your info, we try to limit mentions of writer's books to the threads we have set up for that. Good luck with them.

tsk tsk.. ;0)

You got me thinking. I have a TON of books I cannot find here in the US. I think I will venture into Amazon UK and Amazon Canada.
I love Shaye Archer and Dresden Files.
I love Psychological thrillers, PI mysteries and for Amateur Sleuth, Paranormal or supernatural myster, long standing family secrets kind of mysteries, etc.
