The Sword and Laser discussion

Finally watched the movie Hereditary with Toni Collette. It certainly has some violent and tragic events. But it turns out to have a tight inner logic, and there's more foreshadowing than I thought at first. Not that I noticed on my own without watching a few youtube videos explaining it. The director is quoted as saying 'nobody likes an ending where it turns out to be just a dream'. I hear Midsommar by the same director is similar.
