Hi! So this year I would like to read at least 50 books. As I love learning languages, I would be reading books in English, French and I will try to read also in Mandarin. Maybe I'll read a book in my native tongue also (Spanish or Galician), if there is some book which was written in those languages.
My first book was "the Maze Runner", I really love this kind of dystopian stories (like "never let me go", "hunger games", etc.) So, I think I would continue with "the Scorch Trials" and "the Death Cure".
Also, I am paralelling reading "Harry Potter et l'Ordre du phénix" in French. Because last year, I was reading the other Harry Potter books, but I would like to try out some real French literature.
That is amazing that you know so many languages! Did you learn languages while growing up? How did you learn so many? I wish I could speak other languages. Good luck with your challenges.
Thanks Megan and Jodi! I started learning English when I was 8 years old, and French when I was in high school (12). And Mandarin I started just a couple of years ago. Maybe you could pick up a new language as a resolution for this year :)
How is your challenge coming for 2015, Lucia? It looks like you've been reading a lot. Have you read books in all the languages you've aimed to read in yet?
