Thanks Jill
I've now finished The Boy from the Woods
Another tricksy, twisty plot ends with a satisfying series of denouements, and contains a number of very contemporary issues. There's never a dull moment with these books.
Here’s my review
4/5

"99p The Boy from the Woods
(I've never read Harlan Coben - anyone a fan?)."
Fan might be overstating it but, as my library has a number of his books in audio, I have consumed four in the last couple of months.
They are slick, undemanding thrillers. Exciting and diverting. Perfect for lockdown. Most are also a little improbable so it depends how you feel about that. I've rated the ones I've read between 3 and 4 stars.
They are not going to change your life but if you've just read something challenging, and you want to follow that with something fun and undemanding, they are just the job.
I have The Boy from the Woods out of the library now and have just started it
Any fans of Harlan Coben in the group?
As I say, I might not quite call myself a fan but I certainly appreciate and enjoy his polished and compelling style. So much so that The Boy from the Woods will be the fifth book by him that I have read since May 2020.
That sounds suspiciously like fan territory doesn't it?
