Heather (bigaitchc) I love reading, but sometimes I lose my way - life, work, family, work, more work. Last year when I added up the number of books I read I was appalled to find it was ...... 10.
So this year I have set myself the goal of doubling it.
I absolutely love true crime, Ann Rule being my favourite. If I went to a desert Island the book I would choose would be In Cold Blood by Truman Capote.
So, here's hoping me and my kindle become better friends this year :)

1. Hanging Hill
2. The Blackhouse
3. The Lewis Man
4. The Chessmen
5. The Girl on the Train
6. Knots and Crosses

Cassandra | 5832 comments Good luck with your reading goal, Heather! It's easy to get busy with other things and not read much at all, but I hope you're able to work in some more time to read this year. :)

Heather (bigaitchc) Five: A Novel
Well, for the first time in many a month I have finished a book and want to give it more than 5 stars - absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
Now I know I am a geocacher but even without that I would rate this one of the best, no THE best book I have read this year. The clever writing, the oh so deep plot, the detail, treating the reader like they have a brain cell, the twists, the intriguing characters, the way I was drawn into the plot line.
This morning I woke up at 04:20, could not sleep - my first thought, quick I will read some more of my book, and I did even though it scared the pants off me....
I really hope this author has written more as I am now a true fan. Not sure I'm ever going geocaching in Austria now, but I do know one or two people I could give the 'Ursula' treatment to :)
So do I recommend this - yes I SO do.

I just added this book to my TBR list based on your review. As one fellow geocacher to another, how could I resist?

I really hope you enjoy it, another geocaching friend of mine has read it and she loved it too :)
