Raymond Cushing | 225 comments Here are the rules for the game.

1. Post a great movie line that you remember.

2. Just the movie line. Don't identify the movie.

3. Let someone else in a subsequent post try to identify the movie.

4. Try not to use Google. This is a memory game.

There's no like button here on Goodreads to indicate a correct answer. You got it, Nik. That line was from the movie "Jaws"

Raymond Cushing | 225 comments Leonie wrote: "'And I will take your body and bury it in the woods...'"

Leonie, that's a tough one. I will be interested if someone matches the movie to that quote.

message 15: by Raymond (new)

Raymond Cushing | 225 comments Scout wrote: "If this is a game, how do you win?"

Scout, if that's a quote then I don't know the movie.

If it's a question, I thought the first comment explained the game. You win by connecting the movie quote to a movie.
Or you win by giving the rest of us a movie quote that stirs old memories.

I love well-written, memorable dialogue in a movie, the kind of dialogue that ten or twenty years later you hear the line and you immediately remember the movie.

I read somewhere that Jack Nicholson ad-libbed that line.

Paul Newman was one of my favourite actors and this was one of my favourite movies. I may remember some other Newman quotes from other movies to post later.

There is a movie that is close to that quote but I do not think that is it. I was thinking of the movie "Red". If that is not it (which it probably is not - lol) then that is a tough one. :)

My guess would be a movie like "Goodfellas", but I don't think that was it.
