I took out the spaces, but there's a "sort-by name" in the author information that lets you specify where on a user's shelf it should go. Like for "Ursula Le Guin" the sort-by name is "Le Guin, Ursula" and not "Guin, Ursula Le." I don't know if Goodreads has a general policy on "van X" names or whether it depends on the individual author.
