Same! i take prescription sleeping pills but lately i wake up after 4-5 hours regardless. i'm always sleepy and it's shit and i am so tired of it.

I have so much stress and my Tylenol puts me to sleep. I doze off and wake up feeling like shit and cranky and depressed. So I feel you 😕

Made it! Not meaning to sound awful but the beginning of this thread was such a relief to know that we're all in this together. I'm actually coping really well at the moment but the wheels have fallen off for 2 of my halflings and my husband and I seem to be the glue holding them all together. I'm making sure I'm doing my mindfulness and breathing techniques EVERY day, exercising several times a week and not hitting the merlot too hard. So far the mental health is holding out. We sure are living through some pretty stressful times, gotta hang on to the good stuff, like BR's with my sisters from some other misters!
Anyway, unprepared dumb chicks looking for a wendigo or the like? Sounds fun, I'll start this afternoon while the halflings are at swimming lessons. :)

Just finished, it reads really quickly, for the most part I only paused to cook some lunch. Glad to see you ladies join!

I finished it. There’s a chapter from another one of her books included so I’m not sure if the story is all 53 pages or not. I gave it 3 stars. It’s ok but the cover is the best part of the book. I did like the ending but I still couldn’t get over the timing they picked for this little trip.

I’m so happy everyone joined in for this little read. I love seeing y’all here!

When I read that they were wearing jeans I knew that those dummies are in for a ride :P .. I skimmed through the 2nd thing since it was just a sample.

When I read that, I thought of the ritual by Adam Nevill. Doesn’t one of those guys wear jeans?

I loved The Ritual by Nevill, I think about it pretty much anytime I'm in a wooded area haha and I think you're correct, its always the guy who twists his ankle first.

Actually this short story makes me want to read more winter time horror, I'm digging it lately.

But I think it’s kinda hard to get a hold of. I bought mine off eBay for 10$

I had that at some point, maybe it was in my Kindle unlimited library reads, not sure but I've wanted to read it too. This conversation is making me want to re-read Abandon by Blake Crouch, this story is engrossing and kinda wild and also has lots of nature and snow elements. Its a little long but quite a read.

Hi ladies. I’m also greatly enjoying the buddy reads this summer, and also experiencing a way-overloaded TBR for the next month because I want to jump in on all of it :)

Just finished this story. I found the writing to be quite good, but (view spoiler)[struggled with the plausibility of these girls (particularly the victim girls, in retrospect), going along with this whole outing. Particularly once they arrive at the point in the forest where there are piles and piles of human bones, yet they press on. Strains even horror-movie/book-logic. I was beginning to think that Lady Covey was committing them all to sacrifice; nice twist at the end involving Ana as well. (hide spoiler)] Mildly entertaining but nothing that will stick with me.

I read the book 1st, then saw the movie a lot later, last year, also super creepy!
