2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

Hi!

Sorry if I'm writing in the wrong section but I'd like to ask how can I delete a "double entry". I don't know how I did this but in my 2015 book challenge there's 2 books for The Red Letter... I've tried to select the 2nd book (that I don't recall choosing!!!) but it doesn't change at least for "want to read", anything to take it out of my list... :(

Hi there Paula! If I understand your question correctly, you are having a problem with a book that got added on your own bookshelf?

So when a book is on your "to-read"/" want to read" shelf, the little icon will have a light grey background with a green check mark.

To remove a book from your "to-read" or "want to read shelf", all you should have to do is click on the where that icon is. It will then ask you to make sure and just say yes. Once that is done, the icon turns back to all green.

Is it in your own shelves? I think you have to open the shelf (don't go to the book page), and on the right side there's a X, you click it and voilá!, entry deleted :)

That already happen to me so many times. I select a book that I want to read and when I start reading it, if it's a different edition, both of them stay! It doesn't happen always though. I mean, if the editions are combined, why does it happen?

Yes, it seems to be a problem with different editions :)

It's so annoying! For instances (I need to rant about this just a little bit), I had this edition of Crime and Punishment marked as to-read. When I started reading Crime and Punishment I put the ISBN of the edition I own and I would have the first one on my shelf as to-read and the other as currently reading! When I deleted the first one (the one marked as to-read), they both appeared as currently reading (which was what I wanted). But I remember that last year this was done automatically and I wouldn't have any duplicates. I don't know why this happens now.

I deleted the double book by deleting it in the "bookshelves" page. I was trying to delete it directely in the challenge page and didn't work... :p
