I have a copy of this book: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/51.... It is the same -- publication date, publisher, "Tempo books edition", number of pages, etc.
But -- the current entry has an ISBN number, and my copy doesn't have one listed anywhere. Since the publication date is 1965, that doesn't surprise me. I was under the impression ISBNs weren't really used until after about 1970. So, is this really the same edition, or isn't it?
Also, the cover image on the copy I have is different. It's a later printing -- 1969, so I supposed they might have changed the cover. Actually, from looking at the cover image currently on file, my best guess is that my copy is older. I'm guessing the same Tempo books edition underwent an even later printing than my 1969 copy, with a new cover and the ISBN added after the fact.
So -- do I add a new edition without the ISBN, but with a new cover image and all of the other info the same? That's the approach I would like to take. Is there a better way to handle it?
Yes, you can add a new edition just to reflect a different cover image. If you're not including an ISBN, include a note in the description saying that this edition is pre-ISBN.
