The Help was not only an informational movie on how the black woman was treated based in the 1960's, it's also a humorous and emotional one as well. The writer known as Skeeter, comes home from college and finds out her beloved maid has gone away. In distraught, she tries to act as the polite southern lady her mom pressures her to be. She then lands a job writing the Jackson Journal cleaning section and finds help from her best friends maid, Aibileen. With raising her employer's daughter and leaving her own, she's stuck in a mental hole. Skeeter approaches Aibileen with an idea of publishing a book based on the black woman's life as a maid for a predominately white family. She agree's and so do another dozen black women. Along the way Skeeter finds out why her maid left and finds motivation to continue her book. The white employer's also have their little girl drama as well, which is pretty petty majority of the time and emotional. Through the movie you'll laugh, make sad faces, and smile. I absolutely love this movie definitely 5 stars!
