Great Middle Grade Reads discussion

I love middle grade reads (okay...and romance novels...and biography...and picture books...) but chapter books rule!! I have often found them to be the most well written books I've ever bought. How many of you are in agreement with this thought?
(If this isn't what you are supposed to do in a group, please forgive me...like I said, I'm new at it...very new! But I am thrilled to find this group!)

Welcome to the group! Since you mentioned romance and if you’re on Facebook, you may also want to check out the Brenda Novak Book Group. Once a month, she has at least one ‘live’ event intro do you to other authors.
As for children’s middle grade and young adult books, the groups are harder to find- this group is a great place to start!!

Favorite classic chapter book... that's hard but I think I have to go with...drum roll...Heidi!!
And current book... The Penderwicks!! Well, I guess it's not that current...but much more so than Heidi!

Hi Melanie! Welcome to the group! I agree, there's just something wonderful and magical about middle grade books. It's one of the major things I read besides manga and picture books.

I love the Penderwicks, too! Though for a favorite classic, I might take Jane of Lantern Hill
