Maria Rich | 13 comments Calling all horror writers! (OK that's over dramatic... sorry) I know there are horror writers here as well as horror lovers, so my question is aimed at YOU.

What are your favorite (most useful to you) "How to Write Horror" books?

I think we can all put Steven King's On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft right here at the top because it seems to appear on every single list like this I have ever seen. Although if you didn't like his, be my guest and say so!

Thanks in advance!
~Mia

R. Adrianus | 2 comments How to Write a Damn Good Novel by James N. Frey has been extensively useful in my development as a writer. You're never too seasoned to learn more about writing and I think that book allows prospective writers to understand (or if not, at least, remember) crucial fundamentals.

John (frayerbanac) | 336 comments How to Write Suspense Fiction by Patricia Highsmith. I so much wanted to enjoy King's but found it disappointingly thin in substance (not size).
