This week, we have a fresh new author in the hot seat - so play nice. D.D. Larsen, whose first book Perfect. came out in May, is ready to take all your questions!

Leave them below for her!

D.D. Larsen (ddlarsen) | 15 comments I would say my largest challenge in the pandemic has been finding time away to recharge. Unlike most my full time job didn't close and I was considered essential employee so I never stopped working. I am a huge outdoors person and with everything closed all the trails and areas I used to go became/still are extremely crowded. I would also love to start sharing my book in person and talking to people about it but that has been limited due to social distancing.

Elle Golden | 186 comments First of all, congratulations on your debut release!
What is the one advice you give or you wish you had been given for releasing a book for the first time?

message 5: by D.D. (new)

D.D. Larsen (ddlarsen) | 15 comments My biggest advice is to not rush it. I'm not saying wait years but make sure you set yourself up for success before launch. Edit, edit, edit. Even after doing multiple edits and a professional edit there were still mistakes. Send it to some friends, see what they catch. Hype the book up on social, create an ARC group and have a plan!

D.D. Larsen (ddlarsen) | 15 comments I don't have any set amount of time or word count. I write when I have time and feel like it. I find if I try to write when I'm not into it, then the content isn't as high quality. I'm mainly a weekend writer since I still have a full time job!

D.D. Larsen (ddlarsen) | 15 comments Current WIP: I just started a new series called The Academy Series. It is going to be a paranormal romance with wolf warriors, romance and suspense! Super excited about this series, hopefully the first book will be ready next year!
Also, I have started writing short stories, extra extra hot, that I will be releasing to my mailing list, link in Instagram bio!

D.D. Larsen (ddlarsen) | 15 comments Perfect character: I'm not going to lie, I'm totally Seryna. She went through similar struggles as me and of course I had to make her the perfect boyfriend.

message 14: by Gladys (new)

Gladys | 88 comments Who are some of your favorite authors?

message 15: by D.D. (new)

D.D. Larsen (ddlarsen) | 15 comments When I’m writing I must have something to drink. Water, tea, coffee etc but I have at least one sitting next to my computer. Normal coffee, totally a caffeine addict!

message 16: by D.D. (new)

D.D. Larsen (ddlarsen) | 15 comments Favorite author is a hard question, if you check out my Goodreads page I’ve added about 150 books I’ve read. Some of my favorite authors would be EL James, Stephanie Meyers, Nora Roberts, Sara Dessen, Cassandra Clare, Silvia Day, Jodi Malpas, Penelope Sky, AL Jackson! I love books if you couldn’t tell
