Ann and I read the same book and I think that's going to mess the spreadsheet up but I have no idea how to go fix that. It's From Lukov with Love.

I added a 2 at the end of the title - Vicki and I had the same problem with a book we both read.

ALL...pls remember that tea recipes MUST contain water...I see a few, please add water...Anna and Jenny I think

I'm a lousy cook! But I have so many cool foods that are like that description but I wouldn't know exactly what to put with it.

Thanks for the heads up. Let me go check that. I thought I only made one tea and put water in but it's been a long day so maybe I messed up something. I've been trying to add my words in for books that I know that I'll finish so I just have to make meals.

Hey guys. We have 7 fish & chips with vinegar, and 1 fish & chips. I think we should try and come up with 3-4 regular fish & chips - not everyone likes vinegar...

I'll work on that this week. I still have a few books that I'm finishing and meals to make.

It’s okay it has really good words in it if you want to leave it. We can totally both have it. We just needed to label it differently.

I just reread the instructions - I just had to name mine differently so I think we can still use it

Yep, because it was a good food word book. I really, really liked that book. Lukov is one of my favorite characters!

I read 2 short books, one is 106 pages and one is 110 pages.

Both by Diana Xarissa so the only letters we could use (if the page count is all right) are S and Y

I just found a book for another challenge that has 'watermelon' in it 3x! Yeah! Going to add it to the open space.

Do we want to try doing meals with the minimum items in order to have more? Also, I only added some of my books because there it was closed off at the bottom of the SS for Round 3. I can add more if I’m allowed.

90 books is the max...if you have choices go for longer books or books that have watermelon in the text...I’m wondering if we could do watermelon as a garnish with our sandwiches?

If we have books with multiple references to watermelon we should try and do as many as possible...I think. Instructions say well attract more adults, I assume that’s a good thing.

I think we could have a piece of watermelon 🍉 or watermelon cubes with a sandwich

Oh, Ha!

That’s a great idea. I won’t be able to make meals until Thursday so if anyone wants to help me out that would be great. I finished two books but I’m in a cabin in the woods and internet is so sketch here. Plus I mean John and I don’t hang out often so I guess I should hang out with him. I can’t update spreadsheets at the moment but I did mark the two books that I finished as read and I’m almost through with two more that I’ll have done tomorrow.

I will try and create some meals later today but any help would be appreciated!

I updated my read dates. This internet is major sketch but I was able to get logged in. I like the idea of specials and if watermelon were included that would be even better. Maybe a breakfast special, lunch special, and dinner special. I googled watermelon sandwich and a lot of grilled cheese with watermelon ideas came up. I know we have a few watermelon salads that can be for a quick lunch. We could always toss in a couple pieces of watermelon in with a fish and chips order. Also maybe a watermelon adult drink special. I have watermelon waiting to used three times in one of my books and I can always move some of my recipes around that I put watermelon in to use it more efficiently. We will be hiking and such today but I'll check in when I get back to this sketch hotel. I'm seeing what I can make really quick before we get ready to go.

That sounds so fun! A cabin in the woods, your hubby (John is a GREAT name...my dad's and brother's names too but my bro is Jon)! I hope you have a fantastic time and relax!!!

So far none of my books have watermelon in them. I thought sure that Country Heaven would but nope. :(

That book has a TON of ingredients/foods so if anyone needs any from it or any of my other books feel free to use anything. This is a team effort! Just please off any items you use. I'm going to HOPEFULLY finish adding my foods today. Then I'll work on meals. Country Heaven has a lot of more unusual things that I don't find in most books so you might want to look at my list. I think we could make a cool special or two.

BTW what is a SWINBOURNE item?

Yes, I think we can add watermelon to a fruit salad, adult beverage, kids beverage, sandwich and a dessert.

Does anyone know how to fix an error on the SS when you inadvertently DELETE all your foods when adding another? Normally I can hit the left turned arrow and that fixes/undoes what you just typed but it doesn't on the SS, so I have accidently deleted a lot of foods twice now and then have to relook them up (if I don't already have them listed in my phone) and type them all in again. Frustrating to say the least!

I only know the undo (left arrow) - not sure what else you can do - that sucks!!!

You should be able to go 'back in time'. Will do this quick but it may delete everything else done since....checking now.

Just had a look and I can't tell that anything was deleted.

To view previous versions:
At the very top under the name of the SS is a row of commands starting with 'File'
At the end of that row there is a grey underlined link labeled 'last edit was made xx minutes ago by xx'

You should be able to go to the edit and view where things were prior to whatever you did. I've never reverted before, but if you tell me what you want done, I can help you fix. I just need some line references or whatever.

I'm around for 2 hrs before I head out for a night of not-so-interesting meetings... :(

You can't tell anything was deleted because I redid it. LOL

I'll try what you suggest, Tammie, so that I can be prepared for next time because knowing me there will be another time before this challenge is over. lol

I didn't see anything under FILE that had 'last edit was made xx minutes ago by xx' but under EDIT it has and UNDO and REDO button so I tested it. I wrote a word, deleted it, and tried the undo and redo options so that if that does happen again (it was to my nearly done list of words 160 The Fix. What I had done is go to the two arrows right next to the printer icon on the top left.

I'm still waiting for a response to my question concerning watermelon from a book less than 500+ pages.

I think we should rethink using watermelon or any word for that matter with a dessert or drink that comes from a book with less than 500 pages. Those recipes have a minimum page count of 500. I've highlighted a few recipes that may need to be changed. Will continue to check, but I'm guessing the mods haven't replied because it's a stupid question.

Ohhhh that’s a good point. I can change mine around later this week to not make meals in accordance with 500 plus ingredients. I never once thought about that.

Anna--Could you check the SS for justification errors...there are several menu items that have a date for justification...should be a page or chapter number. I'll highlight pink for you.

Does anyone know what the plan for completing the menu items started with a spellout? Just don't want to use books for the wrong thing. If we could at least go ahead and fill those in to designate for spellout so we can finish the rest of the meals.

Also we need to move a few watermelons/chg drink ingredients...going to work on that now.

We can only have spell out items in the menu if we start with spell out right? We can't combine spell out and scavenger items?

right...no combining...once a book is used for spellout, it must continue as such.

I have a book claim that I can give up if it helps with the spellout. I've deleted spot 87...know that I can fill it with a 300+ pg book, but if it helps, please use it.

I'm done for the night...too tired to go on. I started 3 pasta salads that anyone can finish if you want. Just fill in. I took liberties and used several of you all's ingredients. Please double check all the watermelons are being used...if needed, put a place holder for them and highlight on the meals SS so we don't miss them.

I put 3 watermelons with sandwiches...hopefully that is acceptable. I googled and found lots of ideas for water melon pasta salads...using for salad because there's more points.

Checking in. I can’t see the spreadsheet but I’m pretty sure they are from the piano teacher and the chapters were dates not numbers. I’ll have to figure out how to go back for page numbers bc I read it in Libby.

Hopefully spell out has been figured out

I put letters/names to the right of a couple of the books marked for spellout thinking those could be used to fill in the outstanding letters we need.

If someone has time to figure out a few words with letters that are left over, that would be helpful. No time for blanks...so the meals would need to be complete.

We have quite a few blanks on the SS...incomplete info.

We have 1.5 days to finish and quite a bit to go. I'm working on meals tonight, but if someone else wants to be working...I'll get off and do something else.
