Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Some probably find them annoying, others - maybe helpful, some might not even receive them, yet some stupid phones offer weekly screen time reports with some scary averages.
Anyhow, how long do you spend with your smart phone? What's your regular time count?

Lizzie | 2057 comments I have no idea where the time count is on the Samsung 8. I know I have used about 16 gigs of data (mobile and wi-fi combined) on my phone in 27 days.

I also use my computer at home and when I have insomnia I can spend 12 hours or more perusing Amazon, writing in goodreads, looking for cars.

I wish I didn't have too :)
After the last update of the iOS I receive it every Sunday with those scary hours spent on the mobile in it

Lizzie | 2057 comments My problem would be if someone limited my tv streaming time.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8073 comments I don't stream on my phone, so no problem. But if I counted all my screen time, including TV and Netflix, etc., plus the time I spend on my laptop researching things and doing email . . . well, I don't know what it is, but it's probably embarrassing :-)

W It helps to switch off the phone, particularly at night. The light from the screen interferes with sleep as well.

W I don't use my smartphone as a phone, just as a media player. So,it doesn't have a SIM,and use it only with wifi.As a phone,I use a small feature phone. That helps to switch the smartphone off for long periods of time, when I feel that I'm spending too much time on it.
Also used to addictively play games on it,so now I've deleted all games. The fewer the apps, the better, for time management. No longer use Facebook.Youtube often hooked me for very long periods, with its unending content. Now I no longer use it for endless viewing.

Lizzie | 2057 comments I have never gotten used to using my phone for viewing purposes. I use a computer or the TV. I have always found it amusing that we buy bigger and bigger TV screens and mount them on walls while watching youtube and other media on our phones. I am not a gamer, but the same application of buying game consoles, games, controllers, big TVs and then chasing pokemons on phone screens.

Since I have kids and a grandchild to worry about, my phone is never off, but the screen goes dark within a few minutes of setting my phone down.
