Finished 1st book.
Very enjoyable read, especially the history and style of writing which brought the various settings to life. However, found it hard to relate to some of the characters, but perhaps more to do with era set in.

The challenges vary Krystal - you need to read each particular one for the detail :)

Finished my 3rd for the challenge Where the Trees Were by Inga Simpson which was excellent. I love this Australian author, and having lived a couple of years in the country during the 80s I could really relate to this, the voices are authentic. I'm also somewhat ashamed of my ignorance of the practice of tree carving graveyards in Aboriginal culture, so this book had the bonus of educating me a bit, as well as being a good story.

I too loved this book Valerie - a 5 star read for me :)
