In 1893, there's no such thing as witches. There used to be, in the wild, dark days before the burnings began, but now witching is nothing but tidy charms and nursery rhymes. If the modern woman wants any measure of power, she must find it at the ballot box.

But when the Eastwood sisters--James Juniper, Agnes Amaranth, and Beatrice Belladonna--join the suffragists of New Salem, they begin to pursue the forgotten words and ways that might turn the women's movement into the witch's movement. Stalked by shadows and sickness, hunted by forces who will not suffer a witch to vote-and perhaps not even to live-the sisters will need to delve into the oldest magics, draw new alliances, and heal the bond between them if they want to survive.

Part 2: (view spoiler)[I feel like so much happened in this part.. the thing that stuck with me the most was when that curse happened. Mostly because I think it was kind of cool that she was like.. you aren't going to be a douche bag ever again (basically) (hide spoiler)]

Part 3: (view spoiler)[Wow this part flew by I didn't even realize that I'm on Part 4 already - I was distracted by food lol. So far I'm still enjoying this a whole lot. I'm wondering what the heck part 4 and 5 are going to bring me. (hide spoiler)]

Part 4: (view spoiler)[Ashes to ashes we all fall down was always creepy to me but I think the whole ashes to ashes we all rise up was pretty equal. (hide spoiler)]

Finished - (view spoiler)[I really liked it too but I feel like a re-read of a physical or an ebook version would be nice someday. There were some really intense moments where I couldn't focus on anything else and other times I could zone out a bit too easily. (hide spoiler)]
