Another review.

"Marie-Laure and her father flee to St. Malo, on the untamed northern coast of France. The city is isolated on a wild spit of land that juts into the sea, and stone ramparts circle the narrow streets. Lily (joy1) | 749 comments Good discussion on Saturday. Comments included:

1. Lack of Holocaust focus.
2. Emphasis on Resistance efforts.

Janet Williams | 38 comments I loved both "The Book Thief" and "All the LIght we Cannot See". I found "The Book Thief" more lyrical with its use of language and deeper than the faster paced and more engaging with the plot "All the LIght we cannot See". Yes, ALCS, does have wonderful descriptions, such as one would use with a blind person, but few sentences which made me pause, think, and reread, which I found in BT. Both excellent reads.
