Carson sat next to Dylan doodling on a spare piece of paper in her journal. The teacher droned on and on, being completely ignored by his students. She really hoped Dylan was catching all this, she gave him a glance seeing that he actually was paying attention. She looked back down at her paper moving a piece of black hair behind her ear and scooting back in her chair. She sighed and closed her eyes, thinking of how lucky she was that their teacher didn’t care about what they did in class as long as they passed their tests. She dozed off to nothingness, only occasionally interrupted by random flashes of hangings, blood, and gravestones, none of witch she would remember when she woke up.

Well it seemed like Dylan was paying attention to the teacher, but really he was slowly reading one of his comics, which he had just below the desk. Anything science like, he kind of tones out, especially when the teacher seems to be a lot more bored about the subject than the students.
He then took a moment to look over at Carson since he felt her move. As he looked at her, he slowly smiled.
"Geez, dozing off already." shaking his head in total amusement.
(( yeah! XD))
geeze, dozing off already... Carson heard him, dimly, immediately all the dark images slipped away and she blinked her eyes open. She sat up a bit more and shifted her gaze to him. "Well not anymore." she said pretending to be sour.

"My apologies sweetie I didn't mean to interrupt your beauty rest, but ... You do know you shouldn't be sleeping in class, right?"
Carson rolled her eyes as Dylan laughed, and disguised it as a cough. Then, her faced burned just slightly when he called her sweetie. Sure the'd called each other that before, but only in a joking way- like this one. But Carson really would give almost anything for them to say that for real.
"Sure I can, I can just have that Ethan and you tutor me." she whispered. Ethan was this quirky nerdy guy who was literally a genius when it came to school. He helped any students who needed it, and somehow he still had time for soccer. Carson would of never been able to manage all that, even with Dylan's constant help.

"That's a good idea, and I'm sure Ethan wouldn't mind helping you out. I wouldn't either of course." He slants a smile her way, then continues, "But I'm sure he'll be a better help to you. We should see if we find him after class."
"Well I'm glad I have two smart guys to help me out. And yeah, good idea, he'll probably be in the library." she laughed, she only knew that because that's where he almost always was. "Let's hope the end of class is soon..." she added resting her chin in both of her hands, elbows on the table.

He sighs "We should be getting out soon, I hope ... I think, but by the way the teacher is rambling on I'm finding it a little bit impossible." He studies the teacher with a smirk, "I'm not sure he even knows what he's saying ... or if he notices that most of us are actually sleeping."
Carson smirks as well, "I'm sure he does- otherwise they wouldn't of hired him... But I don't think he'll ever stop talking...." She pushes her sketch book over to be in the middle of him and draws a tic tac to board. "Your move" she whispered sliding him her pencil.

"Oh, you're totally right!" She said going along with him. "I bet they even give out diplomas and class rings." She added trying to keep her laugh quiet. Carson looks around at her classmates, half were sleeping but a few were glaring at them. She elbowed Dulam and nodded re head in their direction. "They are staring...."

Carson looked around the room and let out a quiet laugh when her mentioned that they were zombies. "Yeah they seem suprised that he's still talking. Not that they should, he would keep on talking even if there were an apocalypse"

"He could be for all we know." she said scooting closer to him. "No ones listening, I don't know why he even tries." she said added shaking her head. "we should play hangman or something." she said rubbing some sleep out of her eyes.

Carson nodded along. "Yeah, maybe he makes money selling government secrets." She added to his comment. Then Dylan leaned in, Carsons heart skipped a beat, and whispered something ridiculous. "Oh, your right. What if we put them in the maintenance room? Or the storage closet, no one goes in there." She whispered back sending a glance around te room. She, of course, knew he was kidding. But something about what they were saying brought back a frightened feeling that she felt when she dozed off.

Carson giggles and pretended to stroke an imaginary beard along side him. "Even better, less chance of them finding all of them too." Carson shivered a bit, what they were talking about was pretty mental, but no one ever payed them too much attention anyways. "Well we kind of are," she shrugged tossing some of her hair over her shoulder.

"Well I do believe life would be very Norwich without you around." Carson answered truthfully. "I bet if we-" Carson started before she was interuppted by the lights flickering off, followed by a thunderous roar. Carson sent an anxious glance at Dylan and took his hand tight. "What?" She whispered, eyes full of fear as the ground violently shook.

Carson heard screams from fellow classmates and she shut her eyes tightly. "We should get on the ground and cover our heads!" She shouted over the chaos. She ducked down into fetal position, still holding fast to Dylan's hand. She covered her head with her other arm, just as the ceiling started to crack.

Carson tried to breath in and out slowly, but he only thought was, we are going to suffocate or be crushed. Carson had always been paranoid, almost all her life- but sense she'd met Dylan she had calmed down a bit. But not even he could calm her fearfulness now. She huddled closer to him, just as the ceiing caved in. She let out a scream thinking she was about to die- but the table held.
((Arnt they all supposed to pass out or something?))
((Arnt they all supposed to pass out or something?))

Carson didn't even have time to register what Dylan was doing when the side of the table caved. The table slanted and pushed both of them against the left side of the table. The force slammed her head against the wall, and caused her to finally black out.

Everything was completely scary, confusing and dark, but none of it was enable to be fully accepted. Dylan also blacked out as soon as his head hit the floor with the force of it all. They are completely out, not knowing why everything turned upside down in such a quick fashion. No explanations no answers, hopefully by the time they come to everything has cleared out a little bit and they'll be able to find answers.
((haha no problem))
Carson moaned and let out a cough, scattering dust everywhere. She squinted her eyes and tried to crawl out from the table. Her foot was caught under a bit of debris but she wiggled it loose easy enough. Once she was out she reached in and felt around for Dylan.

"I'm here Dylan. I'm out from under the table. Are you ok? Do you need help?" She called out, voice cracking a bit. She moved closer to the table still squinting to try and find her friend.

Carson nodded, then realized that he couldn't see her. "Ok, let me see if I can move it..." she told him and gripped a side of it. "what if i pull it and it collapses." she said suddenly. She removed her hands and placed them on her head. why did this happen? What caused it?

Carson sighed. "Ok... But if you get crushed and die I'm gonna kill you." She whispers back. And she was completely truthful when she said it. She gripped the rubble again and heaved it to the side, praying nothing else would go wrong.

Carson gave an extra pull, till Dylan announced that he was out. Carson let out a long sigh and basically tackled him. "Dylan what is going on?" she murmured into his shoulder and she buried her head into his chest, never, ever, wanting to let him go.

Being there for her, is the best he can do, being his usual self, the goofy, loony and silly jokester that she's known him to be. "You know - " He half smiled over her head, "Whatever it was, it sure gave the whole room a nice renovation. I was thinking the other day that this school needed a shocking change."
Dylan starts caressing her hair, trying to make her feel if only just a little bit better. "Annnnd, I think it was delivered." smirking at his on sillyness.
Carson sighed and nodded dismally into his shoulder when he responded. Of course he didnt know, how could he? What happened was a crazy event that was caused by... something. Nature maybe?
At his next comment Carson let out an almost silent tinkling laugh. "Yeah,
I've always wanted to learn about balancing chemical equations in a place with desks... or..." she said attempting to make a joke but trailed off. She pulled away and looked more intently at where the teacher had been standing.
"Where's Mr.Harpinger?" She said, a new fear rooting in her heart. She got up shakily and took Dylan's hand. They gingerly walked over to his desk and peeked under the rubble.

"Someone can't simply just vanish ... can they?"
((I think all the adults are supposed to be missing?))

((Really?? Alllright, I'll edit the post then just to be sure!))
((Haha thanks))
Carson shook her head. "What the heck.... He- he was just here..." Carson started to have a panick attack again and scooted away from the teachers desk, sinking down to sit against the wall. She felt pathetic, she hated Dylan seeing her like this. She took deep breaths and squeezed her hands into fists.

Dylan caresses her cheek for a short moment, then continues to rub her arms trying to relax her.
Carson took deep breaths and ignored the tingles that ran up her arms as he he consoled her. She nodded feebly and took both of his hand in hers. "I know... I trust you." And she did; If there was anyone she could count on it would definitely be Dylan. She used his hands to pull herself up again and let out a cleansing sigh.

Ella had fallen out of her chair during the apparent earthquake. She sat up from the ground and looked around. She rubbed the back of her head, and she could feel a bump forming. Ella quickly realized that the school looked like it had been left alone for years. It appeared completely abandoned. Though it hadn't seconds before.
Ella moved to stand up, but fell back down. Blushing, she looked down at her ankle, which had twisted in her fall. Ella carefully moved her leg, and gently touched her foot. Immediately she flinched with pain.
((Same order, Julia, Jess, Melissa))
"Should we walk around and see if people need help?" Carson asked as she pulled Dylan up as well. She shook some hair out of her face and folded her arms across her chest. She knew that talking to more people was out of her comfort zone, but she really just wanted to take her mind off things.

"I think that would be best."
Helping others that really do need it would be a better thing to do, rather than try to explain what happened when there are no clear answers at the moment. He turns around facing the room at large, scanning the area as best he can in the state everything is. "Let's just walk around and see who needs help - or heck who screams for help."
