Trish (bowedbookshelf) Several years ago I read a crime story (translated into English from Swedish) which was written about a journalist who was investigating a story involving a sports stadium. It had many details of daily city life, working for a large daily paper, as well as something about the health system, etc. I am just trying to remember who that was because the 2nd book I read by the same author was not nearly as good. Could it have been Liza Marklund, whose 2nd book in English might have been Studio Sex? Wondering what the name of that first one was. I thought it was really good. Anyone?

Martha | 5 comments Another author question -- I saw an ad in a recent, and discarded, "New Yorker" for a Norwegian author being publicized to readers who liked Larsson. All I remember is he had two little dots above the final "O" in his name, which is not a helpful way of looking things up.

Any ideas who this guy is?
Any recommendations for new Scandinavian writers?

Maybe he meant Jo Nesbo? The last "o" looks like this: ø. He's excellent.
