I nominate True Betrayals
Kelsey Byden grew up believing her mother had died when she was three. Now, at 26 and freshly divorced, she receives a letter from her mother explaining that she is alive and living on a Virginia horse farm. Deeply strung by lies told to protect her, Kelsey takes her anger out at her college professor father by going to visit her mother, who Kelsey learns spent over 10 years in prison for murder.
But there are more secrets to be found out, and Kelsey decides to stay at her mother's splendid horse farm where she falls in love with horses and the man next door - handsome gambler Gabe Slater. When murdered men and injured horses turn up, Kelsey finds evil lurking where she least expects it, and risks all to restore her mother's honor.

I nominate Blue Smoke
Reena Hale’s destiny was shaped in the destructive—yet fascinatingly beautiful—fire that leveled her family’s pizzeria when she was young. Now an arson investigator, she finds her strength and wits constantly tested, although sometimes the job seems like a snap compared to her love life. But she can’t always blame the men. After all, a soot-caked woman barking orders and smelling of smoke isn’t the biggest turn-on in the world. Then she meets Bo Goodnight, who seems different. He’s been trying to find Reena for years, and now that she’s close enough to touch, he has no intention of letting go.
Nor does the man who has begun to haunt Reena’s life—with taunting phone calls and a string of horrifying crimes. And as Reena tries desperately to trace the origins—of the calls, the fires, the hatred aimed in her direction—she will step into the worst inferno she has ever faced...

When Gwen Lacrosse learns her mother has taken in the famous novelist Luke Powers as a boarder, she immediately catches a flight from New York to her hometown just outside New Orleans. Convinced the reputed womanizing author is going to break her mother’s heart, Gwen wants him gone. But when Luke turns his skills with words and seduction on Gwen, she finds her will collapsing under the weight of her growing desire.
Island of Flowers:
To visitors and vacationers, Hawaii is a romantic paradise of palm trees and pristine beaches. To Laine Simmons, it is merely home to her father, a man she has traveled far to see in hopes of repairing their estranged relationship. But Dillon O’Brian, her father’s young business partner, is getting too familiar with Laine’s family matters, accusing her of seeking reparations over reconciliation. Dillon’s arrogance and audacity would be more off putting if Laine didn’t find him more attractive and desirable whenever they meet…

Dora Conroy has a passion for antiques—and any other rarities she can acquire for her quaint Philadelphia shop. A seasoned dealer, she knows all the tricks of the trade. But she is unprepared for the deadly consequences when she purchases a few curiosities at an auction—and unknowingly brings home a priceless cache that makes her the target of an international criminal. Entwined in a reckless chase, Dora turns to her new neighbor, Jed Skimmerhorn, a cop who’s turned in his badge—and whose desire for lovely Dora puts him back in the line of fire. Fighting their attraction while falling in love, they find that hidden riches can have a most ordinary façade. And that possession can be a lethal obsession…

I just came across this book yesterday on one of my To Read Lists. I second it.

I read them with the group at those times. I am cursed with a good memory for plots and characters and it takes me at least ten years before I would reread a book, if ever.
Here is the poll to vote on the November Book of the Month. I did leave out anything that we have read in the past three years. Thank you to those who nominated a book.

Please use this thread to nominate a book for November's Book of the Month. As always, please nominate one or two books only. Also, if you are interested in a series please nominate the first book of said series. Thank you! This thread will remain open through October 21st then I will create a poll for voting.
I have attached a list of books we've read and discussed since January of 2014. We'd like to avoid a re-read for at least THREE years. We think that should be easy considering Nora has over 200 titles to choose from.
